No, I'm way better looking, not half as geeky nor as anal about rules.
Yep, I have some insight beyond what's normally available. There is no intention to buy our K Thomas' contract if he's not traded.
Alright, DJ.
Got a question for you.
The Orlando Sentinel is now reporting that Redick might be on the move, while they try to get a solid big man, and they also mention KT as a possibility. Could there be anything to it?
J.J. Redick wants out, and the Magic might be trying to package a deal with he and Arroyo, along with Pat Garrity's expiring $3.5 million contract.
They need a power forward, preferably a tough, defender such as Kurt Thomas of rebuilding Seattle.
Are Arroyo, J.J. On Trade Block?

Seems like a good deal for both teams. Orlando gets a piece that should help in a playoff run and basically only gives up Reddick in terms of anything in the future. Seattle frees up room for their young bigs and gets back expiring contracts and a pure shooter, something this team is really lacking. He is signed to a small contract and it expires the same time as Luke and Earl.

I'd do this deal. Obviously Garrity would be out the door. But I have always thought Arroyo is a pretty decent PG. Sonics can take a quick look at him.
Plus the Sonics can take a decent look at Redick on the cheap too. Sonics have the team option after this season.
So I think if the Sonics wanted to they could let him expire next season (I believe).
Once Wally expires the Sonics will need someone who can stroke it from long range.
Why not? Get it done.

what about Redick, Garrity and Arroyo for Wilcox instead of Thomas?
Redick might be able to do something, but they won't play him in Orlando with the weak defense we have
Why should we give away our starting power forward for just expirings and a non defense playing shooting guard that can't get off the bench on your team? And no, we aren't dying to get rid of those $6.75 mil he's owed next year.
All things considered, the package you just offerd would net you Kurt Thomas and maybe even a 2nd round pick or two(via Portland, Denver and Houston/New Orleans), but not Chris Wilcox.

Not really.
There's no problem in just keeping him for the rest of the season and him teaching our young guys during those last 2 months.
Though, we all know that he's not going to be here next year and we wouldn't mind trading him, if we could either get rid of some unwanted contracts(Watson/Ridnour) or get a deal that sends us some youg talent or a 1st round pick as well.

depends on who you listen to, but David Aldridge says the Magic and Seattle have talked D.West and according to local reports the Magic are interested in Thomas/Wilcox and Collision (and apparently Seattle is willing to move and of the 3) and that it's basically up to getting a package agreed on...
so, idk...

I'd be shocked if a big outside of Thomas was moved. The Sonics are in a year-long "evaluation process" and the only players that don't fit long term/they've given up on are Thomas, Delonte West and possible Wally Z and Wilkins. Everyone else still looks to fit into the rotation somehow. Presti loves Collision so, short of robbery on our part, I doubt he moves. Wilcox doesn't play much D, but he's having a stellar year and I doubt he's shipped for your package (expirings) unless you take Watson and/or Wilkins.
Despite what DA says, we aren't the best of trading partners for anyone outside of Thomas, really.

Thomas said he has enjoyed his time in Seattle.
"It's been great here. My teammates have been outstanding. The coaches have been great here," Thomas said. "The organization has been great, the fans. The city is beautiful up here. So I have really enjoyed myself."
He's such a class act, what a great guy. I hope the organization does the right thing and trade him to a contender. He deserves that ring more than anyone. Guys like Antoine Walker got it the cheap way.
