And most likely Dooling is staying so it would have to be either Garrity or Carlos. We would be abe to throw a first also, but we would need someone else from you to make salaries work. Is Frye tradeable also or no? We could use a big body next to Dwight.

I don't think portland would be interested at all in those 3 players, especially for both jack and frye.

And Orlando's pick, likely to be in the 21-25 range, probably wouldn't create a lot of enthusiasm in the blazer front office.

I think the blazers will be more inclined to try and package jack and frye (and maybe others) along with their 1st round pick, and 2nd round picks to try and move into the top 6-9 of the draft.

I think that trading Jack for a pick in the projected high 20'ish range would prove very smart.

I guarantee that come draft time, a pick in that range will be more attractive in a multi-player/pick trade up than Jack.

Something like #13, #20-25, Channing Frye, Joel Freeland, 2nd round pick(s) could get us up to #7-9, maby even #6.

Could be we'll trade Jack to move up from 13 to 10, if Pritchard would be really sold on Gallinari...the kid is ranked 11th in NBAdraft.net, and that's with some freshmen ahead of him who might not declare...

Does the pick need to be 2008? Atlanta could send their 2010 1st rounder with some protection for Jack (without needing filler in the deal).

The extra pick then would be useful in adding a lower salary rotation player once extensions are inked by some of your young studs and some of the blubber expires from your cap.

Lottery-protection would be the likely level, but knowing our GM you can probably get him talked down to Top 10 protection.
