Acie this month
has 15 assists and 1 turnover. Obviously he would have more assists if he didn't spend so much time with guys like Blo, Zaza and Shelden who can't score.
Anyone who watches the games can see that he is a better defender than AJ or Lue. Billups didn't do squat against Acie. Acie has the speed and size to be a very tough defender.
Also obvious is his ability to break down the defense which is conspicuously absent in AJ and Lue. That is why JJ and Smith are forced to go 1 on 1 so often in half court sets. They have to try to create because AJ and Lue can't.
Last game Acie showed the scoring ability that allowed him to outscore opposing teams last year during the last 5 minutes of games ON THE SEASON.
the sad part is that next game Acie most likely won't play more than 15 minutes as the Hawks season continues to spiral down the toilet.

This the problem. I understand some guy don't like Law at this moment, he brings less than we thought. But Woody is really using him in the wrong way. Against HOU, Acie only played 1'21'' with Horford at C. Against DET, 2'30'' ... and the rest of the time, it's with Zaza (sometimes with Horford too, but we can't say a lineup with both Zaza and Horford is used to run).

I wanna see a coach who'd be willing to stick Law and Salim out there together with JJ, Smoove, and Horford. Talk about a shooting lineup! Woody is like Larry Brown in that he won't let the young guys play through their learning curve. Instead, he makes them "earn" PT by filling a role and showing what they got in practice. We need to let them play because we have the guys to spread the floor and make plays. Woody just won't put them out there.

Here is another annoying fact that JoshB won't acknowlege. This is a list of the top 5 man units for the Hawks.
http://www.82games.com/0708/0708ATL2.HTM
Acie appears for a total of 251 minutes on these lineups, all of which have at least 22 minutes of floor time together.
However Acie has played over 600 minutes. So where are the rest of his minutes coming from? [/quote]

All I said was THIS MONTH his assist total cannot be down because of Lo and Shelden. Unless Shelden and Lo Wright are blowing his assists while sitting on the bench? How can you make a statement like that? It goes against basic stats. I like how IV has been playing but you can't say that he would have more assists if not for Lo and Shelden. Please explain to me how they are wrecking his assists numbers this month?

Because when Acie was on the court that is when Blo and Shelden were playing. And if it wsn't blo or Shelden it was Zaza, Solomon, West or whoever.
It has been the same story for two months. The late first quarter and early second quarter is when Woodson uses his bench the most and that has been where Acie has gotten most of his time.
That is why 60% of Acie's minutes of come from lineups that have less than 22 minutes of floor time together. By contrast only 25% of AJ's time is in lineups with under 22 minutes of floor time.

Agree with you Tontoz. IV definetely has earned more minutes this month. But Woody is clueless and won't play him down the stretch.
I have no idea what the stat means because he's a backup. I have no idea what the norm is on that throughout the league.
I am simply disputing your statement that IV would have many more assists if Shelden and Lo were on the floor. I don't care what stat you pull up. You cannot say Lo and Shelden are killing his assists this month because they aren't playing.

And you are completely clueless. I post the friggin play by play and you can't even accept that.
It isn't just Shelden and Lo. For some reason you have seized on those two names. It is the bench as a whole. Our bench is considerably weaker than the benches of most teams. And Law plays with our bench by far more than AJ and therefore his production is more affected by our weak bench.
Solomon has played during the season and it is mostly in the late 1st early 2nd when Acie has been playing.

Over the past 10 games, Law has been on the court for 153 minutes. During that time, he's played with:
* Sheldon, 67 minutes.
* Lue, 79 minutes.
* JJ, 77 minutes.
* Smith, 63 minutes
* Horford, 60 minutes
* Mario, 39 minutes
* AJ, 5 minutes
(can't easily find/account for the rest)
For those who give a damn about the +/- ratio, during this same period of time (last 10 games, which would be the 3 game losing streak, the 3 game winning streak, and then the current 4 game losing streak), he's +3 (only Lue at +7 and & Shelden at +9 are higher, for the Hawks). Of 2-player +/-, he's in two of the top 10 pairings (with Lue & Shelden); AJ doesn't appear 'til 11 - with Lue - and then not again until 30 (tie) - with Lo and also with Mario; Law appears a total of 6 times with higher +/- than AJ's second time.
Five player +/-, Law is the only PG in the top two groups (+24 & +22), and appears 4 times before AJ shows up at 8th (tie).
Interestingly, over the last 10 games, Lo has played 91 minutes. Of that time, I can account for 74 minutes without too much work, and at least 57 minutes was with AJ and not Acie. Acie had at most 24 minutes with Lo, only 17 of which I can account for. Only 7 minutes of Acie with both Lo and Shelden.

Dude you are just a moron. All i said is that Acie would have more assists if he wasn't playing so often with guys who couldn't score. It isn't that hard to comprehend.
Let's watch the personal attacks tontoz. HMFFL
