Stackhouse Big Mouth may cost Dallas KIDD

Post#1 » by movingaz » Fri Feb 15, 2008 6:11 pm

Yahoo! -
Jerry Stackhouse and the Dallas Mavericks may be in trouble, according to Yahoo! Sports columnist Adrian Wojnarowski, after Stackhouse revealed plans to be bought out of his contract with the Nets should the proposed trade for Jason Kidd go ahead and then return to Dallas as a free agent.

According to the report, several league sources said the NBA will consider forbidding Stackhouse to re-sign with the Mavericks this season as punishment for public comments the forward made on Wednesday that suggested tampering could have occurred.

Without Stackhouse coming back into the fold, some are questioning if Cuban would pull the trigger on the trade since he is losing so much depth. Stackhouse said that he was only part of the deal "to make the numbers work."

"I feel great," Stackhouse said. "I get 30 days to rest then I'll be right back. I ain't going nowhere." [READ]

That sucks. I wanted this deal to go through so Dallas falls off the radar.
Suns fan during the KJ era (Coliseum), through the Barkley era (Am West Arena), and now the Nash era (US Airways Arena)!

So the real question is, who do Dallas fans hate more? George or Stackhouse?

Stackhouse has always been an arogant sob so it looks like it may have finally caught up to him.

Arrogant and pain in the butt as he is...he's what we need to pair with Barbosa off the bench...tough as nails and loves crunch time...gets to the line...

Put him with Hill (former teammate at DET) and Nash and Shaq and they'll keep him in-line...not that he's ever made waves or been a bad team-mate per se...I'd want him just to keep him away from DAL/SAN or BOS

Dallas fans will love them both more than ever

I have a feeling that Avery Johnson might be behind what George and Stack did 8)

What a grade A jerkoff. Honestly, the guy must be dumb as grass to open his mouth as much as he does. If the trade does go down, I hope the league does more than "look into" the comments. WTF was Stackhouse thinking? I hope the league to come down hard on Dallas for this.

Why is Cuban afraid to pay the lux tax to make the trade happen?

the best case scenario for suns fans is that the NBA says nothing, lets the trade go through THEN bans stackhouse from returning

tho that would suck if he then went to the spurs celts lakers etc

id have him in phoenix for sure, we need a backup SG SF
