Is Rondo definitely starting? I'd say he has w/o a doubt earned it, just didn't know they announce starters for that game until game time.

Nothing's set. I just threw them in by position.

I'm looking forward to this game more than any of the other dog-and-pony stuff they trot out over the weekend. The only thing that stinks is we have to hear Charles "Damon Stoudamire would probably start over Rondo" Barkley on play-by-play. Here's hoping he has a big game to shut him up.

Having some Euro-vets on the rookie team could make this game pretty competitive.

Cool thread, I'm glad you made one Westthebest. There's a lot of excitement for the Rookie Challenge.

Hopeful starting five for the Sophmores

Aldridge/Bargnani/Gay/Roy/Rondo

Tom Thibodeau's coaching the Sophomores.

And Rondo's starting.

Rondo made a great alley oop pass to Gay for a dunk.

Also had a sweet bounce pass to Bargnani, but Bargnani blew an open dunk.

Bargnani is the definition of gunner.

Pass the damn ball dude.

Rondo nearly stole the ball 3 times on one possesion. Not sure he will get a chance to score though.

They just had Sager interview KG.

Garnett looked PISSED that he is not playing this weekend.

Doc already starting his recruiting of D-Wade for when Ray's deal expires at the same time as Wade's. Nice.

I agree.

He was more focused on passing and defense then offense.

But i have to say Rondo did show a bit flare during that game when he got minutes.

I didn't find Rajon's play passive at all --- although I did find it unselfish.
In the first half he was deflecting balls, being a real pest on defence, and all kinds of useful things that don't show up in a stat line but are important to the team. He also made some beautiful passes.
In the second half, that double fake of his, when he was setting up Aldridge, was one of the highlights of the game for me. Truly masterful.
He played with finesse and unselfishness, great point guard play. I'd take Rondo's abilities and skills and team play on both sides of the court over greedy Gibson any day.

Wow, every shot Gibson took was a three.
