Slam Dunk Contest (Saturday)
3 point contest (Saturday)
All Star Game (Sunday) w/ Paul Pierce and Ray Allen

Yep, that's what they call the game. It looks like the Sophmore team again have the advantage this season roster wise.

Even though the dunk contest has gone down-hill in recent years, it's always the event I look forward to most, just in case there's an incredible dunk that I've never seen before. A few years back, you figured you'd pretty much seen it all, and then Jason Richardson would surprise you. Last year's competition was pretty tame, but 'm hopeful to see something nasty. And since Gerald is no longer a Celtic, and was acting like a little bitch when he came to Boston this year, I can watch it without any bias and just hope for each player to do something ridiculous.

The Dunk contest was actually pretty good last year though. I liked Gerald's dunk over Nate Robinson, but if he wants to really impress me he should try dunking over Yao Ming this year.

That dunk was nice more for nostalgia, but it wasn't that impressive. Gerald looked at the rim before he dunked it. I actually thought Gerald was more impressive in his high school dunk contest than last year. But I also suspect that he held back a bit because he wanted to save some stuff for his title defense, since he knew he'd be able to easily beat Nate Robinson.

Definitely the rookie challenge. Always more competitive than the all star game.

I always look forward to the dunk contest too, but I've been disappointed the last few years. I wish they'd get back to the crazy acrobatic dunks, and stop with the stupid props and gimmicks. I could really care less that Dwight can stick a sticker to the backboard, so can everyone else.

It's funny. NBA.com had the same poll (sans the w/ Rondo) and the Rookie challenge finished last. I like it because it give you a chance to see a lot more of the young future stars. I wish it was still east rookies vs. west rookies but oh, well.

Instead of putting the rookies in against the sophmores I thought it was be more interesting to put them in against the 10 oldest Minimum salary players.

Yeah, rookie challenge fo sho.

I'm not si sure the sophmores have the advantage. Scola is super savvy; Sean WIlliams is a beast, Navarro can get it going from the outside and is a veteran as well, and of course, we all know what Durant can do. Horford & Moon are no joke either. Gonna be interesting.

I don't think Rondo will start, but he wil definitelly play/shine. He's becoming such a great player and is an honor to watch. Congratulations to him for making it to this event and on having a tremendous season.

Gerald actually had a cardboard cut out of Yao Ming as well as that Nate Robinson cut out, but he never brought it out.

Curious CelticsWhat!, how was "Gerald acting like a little bitch" when he came back to Boston. Did I miss something, because I don't think I ever saw his "mean face." I do agree his high school contest was more impressive, but he certainly took the safe route in the second round. On the note of him looking at the rim before dunking, he pulled something similar in high school where he pulled himself up for his elbow dunk.
