Answer at the starting Small Forward: David Lee?

Post#1 » by souljah006 » Sat Feb 16, 2008 7:07 am

The only reason i am starting a new thread for this is because i know alot of people have expressed interest in David Lee as a player. Although i have not see alot of opinions on trading for him as a potential answer to the SF spot.

Lee is being underused in NY and i do realize the management regards him as a possible future piece. But i feel if BC could work some of his magic, Lee would be the perfect under the radar type move that could pay off high dividends to this team.

David Lee:
High Basketball IQ - check
Rebounding monster - check
Above average defender - check
High FG shooter - check
plays within a teams concept - check
great attitude - check
Hard Worker - check
Attitude for plying a tough game - check
can hit the midrange shot consistently - check
good passer - check
athletic - check (may not be the fancy athletic...but i can assure you that he is athletic)
Young - CHECK CHECK CHECK

Thoughts...Do you see him as the potential answer? What can we give up to get him? (i am thinking...hump, kapono, 1st round pick)

David Lee is not a SF and I don't see him ever being one.

Nor is he readily available...the Knicks would not give him up easily (ie., they refused to trade him for Artest), so he probably isn't a reasonable option.
