If he pulls it off he will be praised and all.
BUT...if he doesn't it pull it off it will be a total embarrassment because of all the hype he is getting heading into this.

Don't understand why he is hyping himself up so much.. he is clearly the underdog by a long shot behind big names like Rudy Gay and D12, and all 4 guys have hops and skills with the dunk. I rather Moon shut up and just surprise ppl instead of running his mouth like this. I love Moon but he should know that outside of Toronto not many ppl know who he is.

I'm just scared he's going to try and save something and then not get a chance to show it. He's not a name like those other guys so he should be smart. Come out with your best to right off the bat to set the tone. When it gets to the finals the fans will have the chance to vote and they will voet for their favorite through the whole event because they didn't get to vote in the other stages. It wold be a mistake in this format to try to save anything given the format. If jamario can get to the vote, bu using his A game, I don't think the finishing Dunk will be the be all and end all, like it would if the judges were judging the competition. From his comments about, having something special in his back pocket to pull out just in case, make me worry that he might not realize that he can't gamble and end up like that James dud in Survivor, who thought he would be "smart" and not use one of his two immunities.

People need to lighten up a bit. It's all supposed to be fun, and it looks like Moon is just having as much as he can.

Hopefully he does some really creative stuff. He seems to really believe some of his dunks are never-before-done/seen stuff, so hopefully they aren't busts. As far as the pressure goes, I think he can handle it. He seems to be approaching it in the right way, having fun.

I fear he may think he's a favorite, too and not realize how strong he must start.

It's a dunk contest for chrissakes.

A guarantee for a meaningless event means nothing, whether he meets it or not.

I read the wiretap, he didnt gaurantee anything, he just said "i got it, i believe in myself" wheres the gaurantee? He just thinks he will win, which everyone should think in any competition. Misleading wiretap someone deserves a ban. When you gaurantee something, you have to say the words "guarantee" or its not a gaurantee. Theres a difference between thinking youll win, and guaranteeing youll win, Moon didnt gaurantee anything.

How would this be embarrassing? He has nothing to lose. If a guy like Kobe gauaranteed this then that is a different story. If he loses no one will ever remember this.
Moon is just thankful for everyhting this year and now wants to have some fun on All Star weekend.
Nothing risky about it.

For those that don't actually read the article this is what he says,

"I got it," Moon said. "I've got it in my pocket right now." Moon said smiling. "I believe in me and I'm sure those guys believe in what they do. But I think I've got some nice dunks. I've got a couple (in reserve) in case they do something crazy and make me go a little deeper into the hat. I believe in myself."

I absolutely hate guarantees. Moon takes an immediate step or two down in my books now.

i like moon's mentality. That's the mindset you need to have to win.
