Pacers fans will yell at you for not giving them Dwight in return for Foster...Daniels doesnt live up to his contract, so by taking him back we assist Indy a little more...Daniels is good, he's situation...kind of a bonehead from time to time...but his D is good, he gets to the basket and he can chuck them up with the best of the 3 point scrub masters...

Don't know if this was posted yet, I got it off the magiczone board.

I don't know weather or not anyone heard the Jerry Oneal/Magic behind the scenes on 1080am yesterday (2/15), John Denton was the guest and Deton stated that the Haslem for JJ, Carlos and possibly more are very real!! Denton ended the interview by saying that neither side, Riley or Otis is in a hurry to help each other on this, but it is very much alive!!

I hope this is true. They can also give away Auggie so we can give Gortat some burn in the 2nd half of the season.

If you think Carlos put's butts in the seats in Orlando just think what he will do in Miami, and they need just that.

I think Riley wants to send us a big contract back in return and Otis is saying we won't get a deal if that is what Riley wants.

If the Magic are to make a trade before next Thursday's deadline, General Manager Otis Smith agrees it would have to be to upgrade the defense. Point guard Carlos Arroyo and shooting guard J.J. Redick seem to be the most vulnerable to being dealt, although Smith says he won't take on a long-term salary to make a quick fix.

Carlos would not have the same impact in attendance in Miami as he did in Orlando. Miami is mostly Cuban and other nationalities. Central Florida has a over 500,000 Puerto Ricans, unlike Miami. I would know about these things, I'm Puerto Rican after all.

So this is a continuation of that JJ for Haslem rumor but with Arroyo and "possibly more" included. I wonder who that "possibly more" is? Augustine? Garrity? Bogans? Arroyo and JJ for Haslem works in the realgm trade machine (Trade ID #4511796) so anything else the magic send out would probably be a sweetner for Riley to deal with a rival in the same division (e.g. expiring, draft pick). Kinda like what the magic had to do to get SVG.

This rumor also seems more credible coming from Denton.

The Denton factor sure gives me more hope of this actually happening, as opposed to the rumor coming from any of the O-Sentinel writers who always seem to have their heads up their asses.

Well, they keep their heads there so that they can find them when needed.

Another thing that makes me believe this rumor more and more is that its a good trade from the Heat's perspective.

Redick makes up for the loss of Kapono's 3pt shooting. His liability on defense is not a big issue since the Heat desperately need offense (they are last in the league in points per game) and the Heat have Marion, who can the opposing team's sg if the matchup with Redick is unfavorable (Kobe, Rip, Ray Allen).

Arroyo gives the Heat a good pg who could be a starter for them since Williams is on the decline and Banks, Quinn, and Smush are not starting caliber pg's. Arroyo also gives the Heat another offensive option and an expiring contract.

JJ and Carlos for Haslem?? I would be ok with that deal, it would get rid of my 2 least favorite Magic players and give us a very helpful player up front. Otis and Riles need to be nice and make this happen.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

heat would lead the league in one dimensional white guard in redick and quinn.
