Carney is good at running the fast break ... period. If you take that away from him, he has no game. I would move him as soon as possible.

Actually DOND, Carney does have a half-court game. He's particularly strong so he can be able to cut through screens and get to the rim and if he works on it, a post-up game. He's a weird player, but he can be a good weird player.

He's fine in the half court if he limits his jumper to open three's (if he improves a bit) anbd pull ups in the lane. Carney and Green have the same issues with contested jumpers and over dribbling.

Carney has shown improvement rebounding (and even shooting) during his recent reinsertion into the rotation.

I have no idea if he can pass. His role doesn't really have him part of the early offense. Sort of like trying to evaluate Thad by his lack of assists.

His college numbers don't suggest that he is a great passer, and certainly he is not a creator off of his drives like Lou or Dala. I'm not ready to say that his ability to pass will hold him back much.
