IMO Devean George is done...........

Post#1 » by theagent » Sat Feb 16, 2008 11:26 pm

if he doesn't ease off this Bird rights garbage.

You will be known in DAL as the guy who prevented Jason Kidd from coming to the Mavs. Dirk is gonna despise you. Not too mention he could have gone to NJ worked on his game and who knows what the next contract could have brought?

It is in George's best interests to go to NJ because not only is he gonna be hated in that town but he'll be burried on the bench pretty much ruining his career and rep(whatever is left of it).

All this because of a scrub who's starting why??? To showcase him for the Kidd trade and now he does this???

I'm getting sick of George taking all the heat for this when it's not his fault. Regardless of whether he agreed to the deal Stackhouse still opened his mouth. The trade would not have gone through.

George is starting here because we want to bring Terry and Stack off the bench and he is better than Jones and Hassell. It isn't related to the trade at all. So why would he want to go to a non contending team and have a smaller role?

George gets all the blame for the management not having a backup plan?

It's so easy for Shaq to move to Phoenix considering all the money he has. George on the other hand has to weigh his options more and he did what he felt was best. Not really sure how you can hate on him for that.

Well, the question I'm asking me since I read that:
Hasn't George asked for a trade a little more than a week ago? And now that he kinda gets his wish, he doesn't want to be traded? That's what I don't get.

He asked to get playing time or be traded. He's been starting and playing 39 minutes a game over the last 3.

The people to blame is the mavs front office. They did not do their diligence to get everything in order before announcing the trade. George has every right to make the move. Blaming Stackhouse is like saying Mussolini was responsible for WWII. Stack had a hand in this mess, but was not the primary cause. Every RGMer knew that George had a no trade clause, and had demanded a trade. The front office jsut assumed that he would agree. There are many to blame here, but front office should get the brunt of it.
