It's just surprising that someone can take 20 shots and not have one inside the three point line.

6 years in a row the Sophmores have won. It truly shows how important 1 year of NBA basketball can be for a young player.

Boobie Gibson had a great game. I don't like players hogging the ball, but I must give him his props for shooting well. Rajon and Farmar seemed to act more as point guards getting others involved.

did anyone see kg swearing/trash talk on the bench? lol. it looked like he and melo were trash talking.

he was swearing when rondo made that amazing move for a dunk but missed it. lol.

which ever team he plays against for his first game back will see an even crazier kg than most nights! i hope its denver! it would make for a crazy evening with their emotional bunch.

That's true. However, keep in mind that this year's sophomore team is not identical to last year's rookie team, which means that at the time the rookies are selected there's not enough information to know who really deserves it.

Let me give you an example: in the 2006 rookie roster there were names like Channing Frye, Sarunas Jasikevicius, Nate Robinson and Charlie Villanueva. The following year these kids we not in the sophomore team (having been replaced by Andrew Bynum, Monta Ellis, Raymond Felton and David Lee).

Another example: Randy Foye, Jorge Garbajosa, Adam Morrison and Marcus Williams all were part of the 2007 rookie team, but were replaced by LaMarcus Aldridge, Ronnie Brewer, Daniel Gibson and Rajon Rondo in the sophomore team last night.

In other words: the first three months of a player's rookie season are not enough to separate the good from the bad.

Next year, some of this year's rookie team will be conspicuously absent from the sophomore team. Who knows? Maybe even Big Baby Davis can make it for Jamario Moon or Jeff Green...

Good point SuperD, I did not think about that. This years Rookie team was pretty bad so maybe a guy like Baby will be on the Soph roster next year.

What's interesting though is a few years the rookie team has had more talent, but still gotten blown out during the game, which does show the importance of having a year in the NBA. Take a gander at the 2004 rosters to see what I mean:

So it seems like that extra year in the NBA is important, whether they pick all the right players or not.

Ok its official, despite copious national coverage the media doesn't have a clue about Rondo. Fratello and Miller looked like schmucks out there talking about how great Jordan Farmar is and how he was the best guard outside of Roy from the sophmore class.

I agree, SuperD had a point, but overall I think the 2nd years experience is the reason for such dominance.
