I think Rondo is better then Harris. Rajon rebounds, steals, assists and he's one of the best at driving to the basket. Plus Rondo is 3 yrs younger then Harris.

Nets do get a good deal with this trade though.

Talk about being an idiot...

Thorn is one of the best GMs in the league. Just because you don't know crap doesn't mean you are any kind of judge on GMs. FYI, the deal that was in place was for Harris, Diop, etc.

Since you obviously have no idea, let me teach you some stuff. Harris is one of the better PGs in the league. He doesn't have the name value of Kidd, so you may not think he's all that, but he's very fast, can score, is already one of the best defenders, still very young and is getting better. Kidd is better right now, but is on his decline and has been for a few years now. And RJ is young enough that having Harris to play with will help.

Now you say the Nets don't have a big time defensive presence inside? Diop, someone you probably never even heard of, is an excellent defender. He can rebound, block shots and is fast enough to stay with PF/C types while being big enough to bang with the real Cs. His offense is still pretty bad and most likely never be that good, but with Kristic, who's a pretty good offensive player and a poor defender, it works.

So now the Nets have essentially the same team with a real defensive center and maybe get a little worse at PG, but much younger with a lot potential. And you say Thorn is an idiot...

Are you illiterate? Or are your eyes completely shot you old, senile, jack***?

Let me explain this to you, I was NOT talking about the Kidd to Dallas deal. I WAS talking about the PROPOSED JO to Jersey and Miller to Jersey deals which Thorn was in disscusion about even while in the process of trading Kidd. Both those trades would have been absolutely pointless, because they would keep Jersey in mediocrity. Now I don't understand how you could have possibly confused the trades I was talking about with the Kidd trade, but safe to say you look like an absolute tool right now.

If you are going to take a shot at someone, you damn well better know what they are talking about you half-wit, belligerent fool.

During my lifetime New Jersey has never had a shortage of tools.

Those links are also not showing Thorn is discussing those trades. They are rumors and clearly say "according to sources", not "according to Rod Thorn". Now maybe they do happen, but as WE all know until we see words that are a little more definite they are just rumors. Even if he is discussing things who's to say each of those trades isn't dependent on something else going down? BTW to say that Rod Thorn is super cautious and never makes any moves is wrong too. Didn't he trade for Kidd or was that before him? He then declined on resigning KMart and got some picks out of it even when the safe and cautious thing to do was just resign a guy that was a big part of your 2 Finals trips. He then stole VC from TOR to keep the team competitive when VC was by far the best player out there. He took a risk on Sean Williams and that's paid off well too. The Nets are going to have some down time but it's not because Thorn is a bad GM or because he's passed on deals he should have made in the past that probably were never even there. I tihnk it's great when average Joe's like us act like we know for sure what deals could have and could not have been made. Just because a guy that fits a need for your team is available doesn't mean that team wants anything you have or that you are willing to give up whatever it takes to get him.
