Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I see Walt.

Then Moon picked the wrong dunk to involve a team mate!! Would have been better to have Kapono bounce the 1st 360 windmill tomahawk dunk and catch it in mid air. That, combined with the foul line +2" dunk would have put him in the final more than likely.

Neh, defending champ always has the advantage.

It's a tough loss for Jamario Moon, just like last year was for Dwight.

Dunk contest is back!!

great dunk contest. best in years. howard and green bringing the creativity that the contest has been lacking. gotta love that cupcake dunk. that shoulda been a 50.

i was so disappointed in moon. after hearing all the rumors about his dunk from behind the ft line....... and then he doesnt even come close.

how about kapono. that was sick. why the hell didnt he shoot like that when he was here?

they gotta get rid of that skills thing and the team shooting thing. awful.

did anyone watch the d-league horse game?

and when with the damn rookies man up and play some defense and beat the sophs. jrich was on the last team to beat the sophs. i thought this years rookies had a chance due to having some older guys on the team (scola, navarro and moon). too bad durant decided to ball hog. and too bad the rookies were content letting gibson take target practice from 3.

Watching the highlights, it seemed like one of the worst dunk contests, and the type of contest that makes it go away for another year or two.

The picture of Howard dunking with the Superman cape on looked nice, emphasis on picture. When I saw the video, he didn't even dunk it.

And the cupcake thing was pretty corny, too. Have you tried to blow out a single candle before? You can do it from 5 ft away. Howard could have put it up and there and probably blown it out standing up.

I was interested in checking out the highlights when I got off work, but it looked pretty bad.

I had fun watching it. Maybe I'd be thinking differently just seeing highlights but I was definitely into it. Also it seems it is actually a dunk as per rules.

Either way I thought the fact that he jumped so far and threw it hard down to the rim from so high it was actually cooler than if he had dunked it normally.

I missed it also and have seen no highlights yet, but people on the radio are saying it was the best contest since Jordan/Nique. Is that just BS hype? or was it good?

I much as I dislike Howard, I had a great time watching the dunk contest last night. The guy is a showman. Apparently you had to watch it live, because it was far from boring.

they should ban pistons from playing in the all-star game. seriously, when was the last time a piston did something remotely interesting in the game? billups got scorched last night by paul. great as a team, horrible as all-stars. i think fabio would have represented the pistons better. i least he would have done the one-armed bandit thingy.

I watched all of 1 minute of all-star weekend, and I saw Rasheed chuck two clanks from 3pt line. Then I said, what a joke, and turned it to something else.

Daytona 500 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NBA lose-star weekend.

well, it was one of the best all-star games in recent memory. lebron and kidd were fantastic in the first half and chris paul and ray allen were fantastic in the second half.

What is the Daytona 500 ?

Just kidding, but for real, why do people always have to make a comparison... One is an actual event that impacts the season. The other is a show and they come on at different times...with that said I personally did not watch a second of the 500 and watched all of all-star weekend... but I would not try to down play the 500.

I will.

Nascar is not a sport it is an auto race. Drivers are not athletes. The majority of the races are boring even for Nascar fans.

With that said. The game itself was good stuff. Lots of oops for Bron and Howard. Then Paul took over the game yet Allen kept the East in it until the ref made a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) offensive foul call that kept the West down for good. Great weekend overall.

Ya know, I don't have a good reason for it. Maybe it's because we're in the same division... maybe the Howard-Okafor comparisons. I don't really know. But it's sports... it doesn't have to make sense. :D
