Or if things were the other way around, it would on the trade checker to send redd to the magic and mo to the heat. I think the heat would like mo at pg, and redd fills in nicely at the two spot for the magic.
Either way those teams make good trade partners.

palease....Orlando does not need a low intelligent gunner at the point, they have way to much talent at the 3,4, and 5...they need a true PG who has a brain and will do what he has to do to win.
You know who runs Orlando's half court offense?
Dwight Howard. You throw him the ball, he gets double/tripled he kicks it out and guys like Mo Williams score.
And before you go "Oh, well Mo doesn't throw it into Bogut.", let's be real... Bogut isn't even half as good as Dwight Howard is and the exaggeration that Bogut never gets the ball from Mo is one of the most ridiculous claims on this board.
And Larry K isn't even close to as good as Stan Van Gundy is as a coach. If Mo didn't give the ball to Howard he would be riding the bench until he learned how to do so.

If people here were on board with a 5-year/$50mm deal for him, that might be something Toronto wouldn't have the stomach to match. I could feel better overpaying a PG than a SG or SF.
I would do that too. He doesn't play D either but he is a much better passer, creative distributer, post entry passer, decision maker on O, etc. than Mo. You could go after him and Iggy and still have money to sign all of your draft picks and pick up a few veteran roll players. Seriously have you guys looked at the FA list?

There are just tons of decent FA's this year and we know teams have been smarter with their money lately so a lot of these guys will not get paid nearly as much as they would have say 3 years ago since teams or more cash strapped.
Please let LH blow it up Kohl

I have been pushing for these trades since about the 5th game into our crapfest this season.
Obviously I would be very cautious at which FAs I would sign. Deng, Iggy, and Smith would be the 3 big contract guys I would aim for like you guys are saying. I am not saying Bogut and Yi are Aldridge and Roy but this is how Portland did it. Maybe we have Derek Rose in our future just like Portland has Oden waiting in the wings. When you realize that your team has a bunch of square pegs on it, you don't try and pound them into round holes for years and then look back 5 years later and say, well...at least we tried with them. You realize when you've got a collection of garbage and you strategically lay it on other teams that are willing to sacrifice taking on Simmons for a shot at the title. Sadly, the Knicks have overflown with garbage so we can't swing a Randolph-esque deal to them.
My only issue is the dying fanbase. People like us would be at every game watching this team grow together and it would be very fun. The problem is that the Brewers had Miller Park and the Packers are the Packers so we know those teams are here to stay through thick and through thin.
The scary thing is that this team doesn't really have that. We would have a few thousand of those "why didn't we keep Carlos Lee and sign him to a contract that would pay him $15 mil when he is 37?" people coming out of the woodwork saying that our team is "cheap" blah blah blah. When Ted Thompson didn't make any FA splashes or the Brewers made a smart trade of one of their aging or overrated stars it just made for message board fodder. This Bucks move would have to produce fairly fast results because if it doesn't do it, we may lose enough money for Herbie to sell the team to an @$$hat like Clay Bennett and we could be the Las Vegas Bucks or something like that.

Another note, if Herb and associates were actually smart maybe this "we just need to win more games" mentality would actually be a smart idea. When you trade your core, albeit a shoot-happy one, for expirings, you are basically canceling the rest of the season, which is obviously fine for me with the way this season is going.
A smart person would stick it out with our collection of crap in the odd even that it somehow works out before the trade deadline and we right the ship and turn into some feel-good story. Obviously, that hasn't happened so we would then go to plan B and ship out our crap to desperate teams. The fans also get to watch a slightly better product for 10 to 15 more home games than they would have.
Problem is, Herb isn't that smart and probably just says "we just need to win more games" because he is too old and senile to realize that 19-34 places us as tied for 3rd worst in one of the worst conferences in sports history and we have this pile of crap on lockdown for 2 or 3 more years.

Can anyone imagine the interest and excitement on this board if we could start basically from square 1 again?
But we wouldn't be starting at square 1, as we'd have a couple solid pieces in place, the the resources (picks, cap space) to add a few more.
Instead, we'll ride the Good Ship Michael Redd to 30 wins and talk about how we only missed the playoffs by 6 games.
