^^Glad you found your answer. Yeah, the Kings still are not under the cap with the move, but it does give them more buffer against the tax next year.

Yes, as long as they are traded individually and not packaged with any other players. But your FO says don't throw them under the bus!

If Kenny Thomas were to be waived to make room for a waiver-cleared Justin Williams, why wouldn't the Kings just have waived Kenny instead to begin with? You guys aren't making sense. Justin Williams is a goner.

Thanks for the info....By the time Kenny's contract becomes an expiring one that would be helpful for our teams flexibility. Thats if we cannot package him in a deal. That is probably why i think the kings are thinking with kenny being waived or being a nice tool when he will be an expiring.

Man, I'm always out of town whenever the Kings make a move. Maybe I should leave more often....

It's a little late, but I don't have much of an opinion about this trade. Obviously it was for future flexibility, but I think we could've gotten a better deal for Bibby. I have no idea what Petrie's intention with Shelden Williams is, but he is an interesting prospect. I guess I'll have to see what S. Williams can do before I give my final judgment.

As far as Justin Williams, I won't be bothered if he's permanently let go. Sure, he's good and has quite a bit of upside, but he'll never be anything but a 3rd and at most a 2nd string big man who'll see limited minutes.

No, I heard Lue could be traded to the C's or Suns for a TPE/2nd rounder

We should waive Kenny and just get it over with. Like the Warriors did with Foyle.

Other than freeing up a roster spot, what does that do? It just wastes a potential 8 million expiring contract in two years. Bad move IMO. That could be valuable then.

You're right, and I mistoke his contract being a year longer (not looking at any site).

But Theus has said Kenny's not part of the team's future plans, will have little to no role, and a trade is a poor possibility. Also will have Shelden, Mikki, and another young PF eventually around, so he'll likely not play quite a bit of the future seasons. I could see it happening. Not sure how Kenny will feel about his future with this team for the next two and a half years.

just try to keep moving him in a packge maybe we will get lucky if not let k9 keeping the bench warm who knows maybe he will get tired of not playing and let us buy him out ?

i would give a team a 2nd round pick and thomas just to unload his sorry @ss and take on his salary and get nothing in return just to free the roster spot and save cap space !

I used to admire him back in Philly. He had some crazy months averaging 15-10. I don't understand how he fell so low.

He's not even a cheerleader. He never smiles, congradulates the guys. He just sits on the edge of the bench while the other guys hoot and holler. XD

I'm not saying how they value him, I'm saying the way they're creating a roster space is by dumping Lue to a contender for a TPE/2nd rounder. That's all.

"Waiving" thomas is pointless, buying him out is near pointless...getting his contract off the books is what's needed and that can only be accomplished by trading him for an expirings OR having HIM exercise his ETO (fat chance).
