It's making me absolutely nauseous. Or is it nauseated?

Who cares? Rays been gone a long time.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

LeBron is owning the All Star game.

I don't think I've ever seen a triple double in this game, maybe he can get one.

Exactly, the last thing it does is make me nauseous. I love seeing Ray play well.

Ray's in the zone. He is on fire right now.

I'd say Chris Paul has been owning the game. He's playing great.

And Amare Stoudamire is playing SF for the West - and playing it very very well. What an incredible talent he is.

Brandon Roy plays the game with no flash. Just major productivity.

I love watching Lebron and Dwight together, I hope Lebron ends up in Orlando somehow.

I can't watch the game, it's streetball without defense.

What i don't understand is why the players don't make any effort at all on defense? I'm not saying they need to treat the game as if it's game 7 of the Finals, but is it to much to ask that they even pretend to guard someone?

Maybe i'm just becoming a grumpy old fart because the All-Star game bores me silly now. I'd watch with great interest and i think fans would also if both sides played even slightly hard vs bombing threes and trying fancy dunks each time down the court while all the defenders move out of the way.

You know it's funny, I was saying the same thing to my friend.

If Lebron and Howard ever played on the same team.....that'd be absolute destruction of every other team in the NBA.

You obviously didn't watch the game. To me, the game had a different feel for the majority of it. It wasn't like 3 years ago where Carter and T-Mac were throwing it off the backboard in traffic while the other guys just backed off.

There were some hard fouls and the 4th quarter was very intense. LeBron and Paul even exchanged words after Paul was defending him and he aired it.

I'm very impressed with Paul's defense. I knew he leads the league in steals, but this guy is just tough. He'll just rip it away from anyone when they come down the lane.

Michael Redd is way better than the declining Ray Allen.

Yea the fourth quarter of this game was great basketball period in my opinion. Paul is a tough SOB and he made big plays on both ends of the court. LeBron was huge and Wade made two big plays - one a drive and the second a block of a Dirk 3-point attempt. And Ray was hitting everything in sight for a time. That was a lot of fun to watch.

Yea i turned it off during the second quarter because it was boring me to death. I was going to turn it back on in the 4th quarter, sometimes when the AS game is close in the 4th the teams play to win. Maybe i did miss out then on some good basketball, oh well.

Can we just have one thread that isn't turned into (or tried to be turned into) a Redd bash fest?

The all-star game and the weekend in general was entertaining. Dwight Howard stole the show in the dunk contest though. :)

Dhoward was awesome in the dunk contest but I thought Kenny Smith was a little too hyped up...

Maybe my memory is jut hazy on this, but I can't recall ever seeing the foul and chase strategy utilized at an All-Star game
97-98
Nick Van Exel (LAL) on defending the Stockton-Malone pick-and-roll: "Yeah,
I got a way to defend it. Bring a bat to the game and kill one of them."
