Really? 5 (now 6) pages over the dunk contest??

I mean... really???

Who cares? The dunk contest is nothing more than a entertainment spectacle. All this talk of... was it a dunk? Wasn't it? Really, who cares? I didn't watch the whole show, I just saw the highlights on NBA.com and went, 'Oh, that was kinda cool.' Then I moved on with life.

Well, I'm hoping for a Congressional investigation! First steroids, now this. I won't sleep well until this matter is settled.

any time the ball is shot at the rim, it is considered a shot. there are many different times names for all the shots. a three point shot, a dunk, a layup, all examples of shots, i just am not sure what else it could be considered.

A shot, you can give it a name if you want but "dunk" is already taken.

Mr Odd wrote:Personally in my opinion it was not a dunk.
However by definition it was a dunk but not
a slam dunk. My definition has always been
a dunk includes the touching of the rim. But
if you go by the writen word of it, Howard
did do a dunk. However any self respecting
basketball fan/player wouldnt call it a dunk.

:-?

what?? is this serious??

Superman didn't dunk it, but the rest of his dunks were so impressive. Very good show.
