Which combo guard do you like best this draft?
I feel there have been too many x vs. y threads recently. Let's put them all in the ring together and see who comes out on top.
Rank the following four players as for whom you like best, if your team is a probable lottery team tell us which team you support.
Also. Vote for the player you like best.

The only combo guards on this list are Bayless, and Mayo. I thought everyone raves about Rose being a "pure point"??? What happened? And Eric Gordon doesn't handle it well enough to be a combo, but he can become one down the road. I'd take Mayo. I believe he has more skills than all of them, but just can't use em at SC. He'll get with a good coach, learn the nuances of the game, and become a great combo guard. Bayless will be very good as well, maybe a Monta Ellis type.

I consider them all combo guards because none of them them are prototypical for their positions.
Rose is a 6'5 PG and will, in many cases, defende SG's
Bayless is a scoring PG rather than a pass first guy
Gordon is an undersized Sg
Mayo is a SG with PG skills.
In some way all are combo guards in my mind and are competing for the same jobs.

I don't like Eric Gordon in the NBA. The trend is towards bigger SGs, and he simply doesn't have the skills right now to be a PG. He's still young, but he'll struggle in NBA as a SG getting his shot off against bigger players.
Rose, for all his hype, hasn't impressed me all that much when I've seen him play. He needs to work on his handle, and his passing hasn't been as great as everyone said it would be coming into the season. My perception could change as Memphis plays into March, but for now that's my thought. Still anyone can see all the tools are there for an amazing player.
Likewise Mayo hasn't impressed me as much as I thought he would. He simply isn't that fast or explosive. Still good size, but I'm not crazy about him.
Bayless has shown the most in my mind, but I've got my concerns about him also. He's a great scorer, and looks further along than anyone else here. His problem though is he's less of a PG than anyone else but Gordon. He needs to work on his ability to set up an offense and open shots up for other people. But he's the most NBA-ready of the 4.
Anyway, despite being overly critical here, all 4 are good prospects. Here's my rankings:
1a) Rose - Not there yet, but will be a good all-around PG
1b) Bayless - Will be a good scoring PG
3) Gordon - Needs to work on his ballhandling, still a long way off.
4) Mayo - His physical shortcomings will be harder to overcome, despite being a big PG

Mayo, I was really suprised when he outplayed Bayless. Bayless looked really frustrated on both ends, he even did the reggie miller fake flop/ arm-flail on mayo to get to the line. Mayo was really displaying his all-around skills, he looked like Kobe Bryant. but he got tired and started missing his jumpers, he only finished 9-23 shooting.

Rose's jumpshot isn't good enough for him to be a SG, so he isn't a combo guard
