Anyone know how he's doing this year, and what the prospects of his coming over for next season are? Thanks.

I haven't really been following how he's been doing overseas this season, but I do know that there is almost no chance he comes over to the NBA next. With the Blazers roster situation as it is, there just isn't any room for a young raw PG right now.

Yeah, while he's promising, the Blazers are loaded with other promising guards and he really wouldn't have much of a role on this team if he played for the Blazers. I think he may come over eventually but definitely not this season.

Here's a link to a recent extensive article on Blazer's Edge written by a guy over in Finland about Petteri, the Playboys, and the competition in the Finnish League (and a long interview with Koponen):

Depending on the makeup ofour roster next year, I would prefer cutting Green, and having Kopo in the D-League than having him in an inferior league in Finland. Or, not neccesarily Green, but clearing a roster spot for him to be here. Basically, IF we had some horrible injury situations, and hewas forced to play, then we are probably screwed anyways, so might as well let him play here, and learn the American game a little bit. Get acclimated to the US, that sort of thing.

Maybe the Suns can sell us some roster spots, too.
