Sonics relocation vote- can you help?

Post#1 » by jambalaya » Sat Feb 16, 2008 1:35 am

I hope you will pardon this brief post looking for support.

Some Sonics fans are flying an airplane banner saying "Stop Clay [Bennett]- Sonics must stay! above All-Star game site tomorrow afternoon.

If you would be willing to drop your team (on the relocation committee) an e-mail saying vote no on this proposed relocation or say the same to Stern we'd appreciate any support. Thanks.

What we "need" ultimately is a reasonable NBA and a reasonable set of local public officials to talk and reach agreement.

What I asked was if you would be willing to drop your team (on the relocation committee) an e-mail saying vote no on this proposed relocation or say the same to Stern.

If you want to, great.

Time will tell if things might still break break in our favor though it doesnt look good right now.

Anyways good luck to your team.

For the third and last time what I asked, apparently not clear enough, was if any of you would be willing to drop your team owner or President (Nets are on the 5 person relocation committee that will review case and make recommendation to NBA Board of Governors in April) an e-mail saying vote no on this proposed relocation. Not that I expected it will sway things but I volunteered to do some outreach to other fans to help give the issue greater visibility and perhaps keep hope alive.

E-mailing Stern is probably pointless now after his comments.

Anyways, thanks for the positive words at the end jerseyjac.

Nets move to Brooklyn probably opposed by some, favored by some here? This relocation would be a total loss to longtime fans. Some wanting to share it with their kids just as they did with their parents. But sometimes things break against you.
We'll see.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
