Lenovo +/-

Post#1 » by okanoho » Tue Feb 19, 2008 1:25 am

Ok, I don't really know how the system works
but, when i go to nba.com and check the bucks on Lenovo +/- stat
i think it gives me an idea that C.Bell is a good TEAM player
cuz out of all possible combination
he seem to be usually appear in the better combination
whether his shooting skill sucks or not, if he gives a positive combination stats so often, does that mean something?

Correct me if i am wrong, as i don't really know what else it interpret

P.S. To Yi's fans, it's just bad that Yi, unlike bell, appear usually at the bottom

+/- can be a good indicator of a player's "real" impact on the game, but it can also be very wrong.

Think of a player who only gets in when his team is being blown out, by 25 or more points. When the other team plays soft for the last minute or two he's in, his team may cut the lead down to 20 or 15, giving him a +5 or +10 for just that game.

that doesn't seem to be the case for what i see for bell
cuz most of the better combination contain either redd, or mo
it just happen that they are not togethre, probably cuz bell is a guard itself
