Gerald Green and J-Rich would be able to do it. The ball was bouncing UP towards Vince Carter which made it easy for him to get it and put it between the legs.

Jason Richardson bounced it off the backboard and as the ball came DOWN against him, he caught it and put it between the legs.

yeah, i'm not talking about difficulty, just about how it looked. and vince's looked so easy...

I always find it odd that people say the between the legs VC dunk was his best from that competition. For me it's the reverse 360 windmill by far.

The elbow dunk was VC's best in 2000 imo. Here I'm just saying VC's between the legs was the between the leg dunk with the most style.

Nah, Dwight is an anomaly.. very few have that height and vert to be able to do the tap, let alone add extra tricks to take it a step further.

Just like Spud Webb's "off the floor then off the backboard" dunk back in the day. We were all amazed by that dunk then, but when we look back at it now it looks plain.

Um, no, it doesn't. The dude was still ridiculously short.

Dwight is an anomaly but there are players in the NBA that could do that dunk and add tricks to it. Players need an insane vertical and some serious hang time to do such dunks and I think players like Jamario Moon, J Rich and even Gerald Green have that ability.

Also, Jamario Moon lost because he didn't the rules and this is what he had to say after the competition:

the tap dunk was good, it will bring out alot of creativity next time

but nothing beats VCs reverse 360 windmill, that was something you dont see every now and then

the BTL dunk has become so common now, that it gets boring imo.

LMAO at the interviewer. What a clown, rubbing his face on Moon's face. Then he gets scolded for touching the player.

You can't really make that big of an alteration to that dunk.

A 360 out of that?

Are you freaking kidding?

After the mid air tap, it's virtually impossible to turn your body all the way around or even half way

it's true, all those scenarios in the opening is pretty much impossible. one has to remember that the TAP is in mid air off an alley oop. When you're tapping, you're about to be on your descent, unless your arms are long enough to dunk it when you're about a foot from the floor, than it's pretty much impossible. Howard made it look easy, but adding anything in ADDITION to the tap, would be impossible.

VC should have been in another dunk contest..I remember at the end of the contest, they asked him and he said he would love to defend his title..what a shame..

HE JUMPED OVER A 7 FOOT TALL MAN..who knows what he would have done in the contest the year after..he should have just came out mid-way through the mediocre contest to the "DR.FUNK" chants, put Shaq under the net and jump over him and left the building..the dunk contest would have been cancelled after that, and we could have been watching something new during ASW..

What don't people understand about Vincent "Pwassy Boy" Carter? He's a disgrace to the NBA. He sold out in Toronto and now that he got paid by the Nets, he sold them out too.

I haven't seen anybody throw a lob, do a 360 w/o the ball, grab the ball and dunk it.

I'm actually surprised I haven't.

Nick Young 360 behind his back...unbelievable. If he did this in the contest it should be at least a 75 forget a 50

No, it's closer to being a 320.

Which is close enough to make nitpicking entirely pointless.

Amazing dunk.

^Didn't young want to be in the contest too? Why has the contest been limited to four guys anyway. I can't wait until their is a regime change in the NBA.
