I see what I see..POB had a great game vs the clips..A real stepping stone performance..But Nellie had the next stone removed (signed our late MBENGA the next day) and POB stepped right back into Never Never Land..How could Nellie of been right for crushing any confidence POB had grabbed? How? Seriously..floppymoose wrote:I'm curious if Nellie can ever be right on this, going forward? If POB doesn't ever do anything elsewhere in the league, is Nellie vindicated? Or does he just get blamed for screwing up POB permanently?

He'll get picked up by a coach who'll work with him. It may take a while but he'll come around. He'll have lost two years of potential experience which he could have had. He'll never recover those lost two years however. This would have been a perfect situation for him to get experience these two years. Nellie blew that one for sure.

Just cut the kid...There's no reason at all to still have him on the roster...Nellie's pulling a Al Davis...About the same age as when Al blacklisted the great Marcus Allen...I read that it was all over Al being upset with who Marcus was sleeping around with...Goes to my theory that Nellie caught Joy and POB in the bathtub during a warriors party...

Thanks Andris for at least being honest and stating what little info he has on obee.
I'll bet it's personal and not a BBall issue.

Dude! What's your agenda?
This basically confirms that you and Hester don't know ess regarding the "POB sucks angle" that you guys run with.
Then to be totally honest, why don't you post those numbers that you put up there with his AVG. minutes? Then why don't you run a per 48 minutes?
Then why don't you factor in that the coach hates him?
It's clear to most who have seen any real playing time, that he has assets that the team is dying for. Then it's now been said by Andris that he's trying really hard in practice.
The signing of MBenga was a clear slight to oBee and the team really. I'd bet that the guys on the team like him and are pulling for him, but even Andris is smart enough to not go to Nellie and ask for more plays called for him.
Why don't you guys just admit that Nellie doesn't get everything right?
He's a great coach and i'm happy he's here, but I love/hate Nellie. I think that's a bit more honest.

Everyone loves to cheer for an underdog. Nellie isn't playing POB since it messes with the whole Underdog theme of this roster:
B Diddy: once considered a player with great talent, but uncoachable
Mississippi Bullet: The 2nd round high schooler that shouldn't have entered the draft
Stack Jack: Really no explanation needed
Beans: the raw talent who only avg'd 14/min a game under Monty
Barnes: The player no one wanted
C-Watts / Buike - Call ups from the D League
When POB and Wright were drafted. everyone thought that we had the big men we needed to address the holes we had in the post / rebounding... but instead of playing them, Nelly is content with using left-over crap that disgarded from other teams (Mbenga / C-Webb)
You can't tell me Mbenga was a better option than either POB / BW. But playing Mbenga makes a better headline / story...

Obee's the ultimate underdog right now. You couldn't find more of an underdog in the NBA.

POB is probably in the dog house for having an ugly ass girlfriend. I mean good lord, WTF are you doing hanging out with that girl POB?
That said, every pregame I've seen him he is not the most mature cat nor serious before the game.
The rare seconds he touches the floor, he really does play decent but has NO UNDERSTANDING of the team game/ team dynamics.
Damm shame because he is the most skilled big man in the league younger than 25.
He's a pussy.

So let's get this straight
He practices hard.
He plays well in the games.... (except he has no concept of the team dynamics?
WTF? What is POB supposed to do,,not block shots, rebound or make free throws?..That's being a bad teammate? Because? I'll take a guess here..because he makes his teammates look short ?
)
His teammates seem to really like him.,,,they cheer hard for him ...
So to sum it up....POB practices hard, plays well, is well liked by his peers, and is the most skilled under 25 7 footer in the league...besides that he a pussy.
...
Good going coach.

Easy there, skippy.
If I'm not mistaken, and please tell me if I am, Biedrins only says that POB is in fact in Nellie's doghouse. People are "interpreting" that its bc Nellie "hates" him and that this is the only reason why he is not being played.
So once again, you guys are projecting your weird POB conspiracy theories--which are completely lacking in sense-- onto us poor people who look at the reality of the situation and say, "maybe he's not playing because he's not any good." You still don't have any statement that confirms your theory based on a personal grudge.
And as you said, the team is "dying" for assets like the ones you believe that POB "possesses", so why wouldn't they use him? Maybe its bc your estimate on what POB actually brings to the table is off. Or is that not possible? For you and the other special, special posters it's just a certainty that the reason he doesn't play is bc Nellie simply hates him and hates his game without reason.
That makes so much sense.

Team Defensive Dynamics; he does not understand rotations.

Its hard to get into the flow of the game when you never really get into the game...
You expect him to learn everything in practice? There is no equivalent for experience... experience makes you comfortable, and able to apply what you learn in practice... small handfuls of players are coming out of the woodwork ready to play NBA ball, and a fraction of them are 7' tall..
We wasted an asset

At least Fuller, who was a 6'10 slow footed white guy (an even slower version of Murphy) and a lottery pick got a chance to play (even though he didn't amount to much).
