Post#1 » by Jordan45822 » Tue Feb 19, 2008 4:55 am

Last failed physical I recall was Kenyon Martin during the summer about 2.5 years ago. I forget where he was supposed to go, but I guess the physicians made a good choice.

Its all on whether or not the team wants the trade to happen.

You can trade a completely injured player who may never play again, or may never be the same.

Look at Grant Hill to Orlando for Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins.

In most cases, a team will only have someone fail a physical if there was something major unknown with the player.

I can remember Sean Elliot failing a physical in Houston.

The Nets are famous for their physicals, imagine if KVH fails his.. haha it won't happen but just imagine. The Nets actually saved Tractor Traylors life, they pointed otu to him his heart problem, and the nets were right on Shareef.

you only really fail if you have something wrong that the team doesn't expect.

Teams can waive physicals if they so wish.

Different sport, but a couple of years ago Grady Jackson failed his physical with the Falcons because of heart/weight problems, but magically passed a month or two later when we became really desperate for a starting DT.

So it depends on someone having health issues (weight, heart, cancer, etc.) and team's liking that makes you fail? Wow didn't know that I thought if you were injured (which has been proven wrong).
