So, since most you of you think Duhon and Mason torched BD. Do you think it could be Monta? I'm a season ticket holder and I'm at every game so trust me I know who's torching who.

You may not be impressed w/ dude, but you guys sure don't have your facts straight.

Ok, this sounds like another Monta excuse!!!!

Stopping penetration goes against everything our defense is supposed to do... our defense is supposed to allow it to the right and left, the drive and dig defense, which we've played all season...

Nellie does not allow Monta to play against good court-vision PGs... smart ones.. they will try and take him down the middle which would leave our defense wide open. Baron has enough strength to force them more towards the outside of the key/baseline, where our defense excels in causing turnovers..

Baron doesnt have the quickness to close out on shooters... thats why when he switched over to Mason, Mason torched him from outside and then drove on him when he came out to contest... Duhon did the same... not that contesting any of Duhon's shots mattered at all that night.

People just -need- to find holes in Tay's game... they cannot accept that hes quickly becoming our best player. This whole 'he cant play D well' stigma comes from people who are using a man-to-man yardstick to compare his defense within our defense...

Wasn't too long ago that he was stopping people like Parker man to man... rook/soph seasons when he guarded them. Maybe he just forgot how to play D... :dontknow:

Our defense w/o JRich is designed to get guards into tight spots and make bad passes... if it wasn't, both Baron and Tay would be pathetic defenders...

No comment on this Coach Reggae, but it sure is a funny to read. What's are game plan for the Utah game on Tues?

Trust me Monta is not quickly becoming our best player. To measure who's the best player on a team you pull him out and honestly, we still we be a good team without Monta (proven, see what happend last year against Dallas). We all know what happened when Capt Jack was out the first seven games. And trust me we sure don't want to know what will happen if BD is out for a number of games. I'm not hating on Monta, but you are giving him too much credit for playing so good for the past month or so and are blinded by his soaring fast break lay ups and all the points he's putting up. If you would pay attention to Monta's game as a whole, you will realize what I'm talking about.

Yeah... we were a great team w/o Tay against Dallas... who caved to our every lineup whim that series...

We beat another "Nellie" team... woo-hoo...

By the way, extremely impressed by the great analysis Marcus Thompson usually provides () and then someone who posted a comment...

Monta started the game on Duhon... Duhon came out shooting extremely well, switch to Baron... I literally have the game still saved... its amazing how wrong you are and right you've convinced yourself, a diehard Baron fan just refusing to let go.. its ok bud, silver's still pretty shiny

 We have another STH... get in line pal... a lot of us go to the games, there's nothing special about it..

Not to worry... you represent the casual fan, so I'm a-ok with being 'wrong' in your eyes... I'd be damn worried if I agreed with the majority of basketball fans :o

Your a damn Raiders fan as well. How sad but then again I should of knew. You were the one saying it was Baron who was getting torched by Duhon when in fact is was Monta. 15/10 and 19/21 you tell me who did a better job. Also, not a BD die hard fan a big Warrior fan thats all.

 We have another STH... get in line pal... a lot of us go to the games, there's nothing special about it..
I tivo the games as well.

Now you are funny. Casual fan what is that suppose to mean. What credentials do you have but taping every game and supposedly knowing what the Warriors game plan is. Maybe we should sit and watch a game together. I'd love to see what your points of views are.

Looking exclusively @ #s, especially when evaluating defense, is the best way to be incorrect

So because Tay sagged off on a notoriously poor shooter who came out shooting the lights out, he's a terrible defender.

Get some glasses for that short-sightedness.

I think it is a close comparison, I am a homer......but I think if you really think about it. Monte is a clear choice.

Monta is more like a physical guy and he does go into the paint.

K-Mart however is like a mid-range killer...

In terms of excitement and defense.
Monte beats K-Mart.

So I think Monte has edge here.
