wait, i thouhght it was just an option to swap first round picks, so because the heat's pick has more value they will keep theres, but they get our 2nd too?

Orlando Magic
Moves made: Nothing yet.
Deadline possibilities: There are just so many, with Heat forward Udonis Haslem at the top of their list. The Magic desperately need a power forward to go alongside Dwight Howard, and while Haslem might be the perfect fit, he's not the only option. Sources have pointed towards Seattle, who is willing to offer up Johan Petro, Chris Wilcox, and/or Kurt Thomas. While none of those guys is as good as Haslem, any of them would help.
Miami Heat
Moves made: Shaq got shipped out a couple weeks ago for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks.
Deadline possibilities: The Heat want to put themselves in a position to pursue Elton Brand and other quality free agents this summer, so the more expiring contracts they can wrack up, the better. As mentioned above Haslem is being shopped, and it should be no surprise to anyone that the team is still looking for takers on Jason Williams. The desired guy for Pat Riley thus far has been Memphis's Mike Miller, but it seems more and more like the Grizzlies are going to hold onto him for now. That said, deals come out of the blue all the time, so anything's possible, and the Heat are one of the teams in the league right now really willing to make a move.

Article after article they have built my hope for Udonis Haslem from nothing to quite hopeful...if Otis lets me down I am going to be devestated.
I don't think people realize the impact that Udonis would have on our team...it isn't just what he brings, it is what he allows other people to do as well. Rashard can play SF...something he hasn't done all year. Dwight will have more energy not having to absolutely kill the other team on the glass in order for us to win. Udonis would be half way to making us a title contender right now, IMO. All we would need is a PG after that.

I believe they have the option this year to swap if they do not exercise that option (which they wont) they have the option next year to swap firsts. If they dont take that option next year they automatically get next years 2nd. Not both.

What? That is legitimate. He, Rashard, clearly hasn't lived up to his contract and I believe this team should do whatever it can to get out of that deal instead of trying to save face. This is a ripe time with so many teams making rash decisions to stay competitive. We gave him MAX money. We will go seven years without a title making irrelevant moves and drafting 23 or 24 every season. We also are locked into a back up point guard.

haha if you think the effort he has produced thus far is even close to warranting the money we have given him, than you should clearly go find another hobby. Gerald Wallace was clearly the right choice during the off season and he was cheaper. Orlando should do anything they can to get out of that salary cap restriction.

Plus Ben has clearly lived up to his contract (he's guaranteed thru 2009/10).

Clearly it's good to have goals for when you grow up.

How so? I don't see how Wallace fits in with the Magic's system. You have to be able to shoot to make it on orlando's roster. That is why Trevor is not here anymore. So how would Wallace fit here?
