No. Teams better than them:

Boston Celtics
Detroit Pistons
LA Lakers
Phoenix Suns
San Antonio Spurs

Teams right there with them or slightly worse:

Utah Jazz
New Orleans Hornets
Denver Nuggets
Houston Rockets
Golden State Warriors

No.

Mad Balla 15 has it right but I'd put the Mavericks ahead of the other West playoff teams.

Nope, they're probably 6th or 7th after the trade.

No, Dallas isn't a top-5 team, even with the Kidd trade.

In random order, Boston, Detroit, Lakers, San Antonio, and Phoenix are the top-5 IMO.

you might want to clarify that with "ahead of the lower tier West playoff teams.

Dallas is a topn 5 team behind Boston, Detroit, San Antonio, and the Lakers. Depending on how well Kobe can play injured you could drop LA from this list as well.

Impossible to tell... None of: Lakers, Phoenix or Dallas have even played a game with their full squad

not a fact, just your opinion.

I think Kidd's impact is being underrated by some, and I have to wait to see how Bynum comes back. If he can get back to how he was before the injury, then I can see the Lakers being better.

Detroit is on the same level as Boston, Lakers, Spurs and the Suns. Detroit > Dallas.

Even if you put them head to head right now. Chauncey always plays well against Kidd and Harris was the main reason they had such success against us in the earlier game this year. He was way to quick for our guards to defend. So theres no logical reason to put Dallas ahead of Detroit.

Maybe top 5 during regular season, bottom 5 when it comes to playoffs.

+1...give both squads some time to get into a rhythm with their new rosters and then we'll be able to judge more accurately.

I say yes they are and i dunno how anyone can put the suns ahead of them when we haven't seen how Shaq will fit in. We know Kidd is healthy but what about Shaq.
