Second Round Gems

Post#1 » by Pugsley_2491 » Tue Feb 19, 2008 5:53 pm

Reading the latest Wiretap on Monta Ellis made me think of this topic since he was picked in the second round. Every year there are some second rounders that really stick around and make a name for themselves in the league. Who do you think can really be one of the gems found in the second round this year?

I like both of Oregon's wings (Malik Hairston and Bryce Taylor) for solid 2nd round picks. Ive been able to see them both alot in their 4 years. Both have pretty good SG size for the NBA and both are also pretty good shooters from the outside.

Whatever big man falls out of the late 1st. Hardin perhaps? Ibaka? Otherwise Jawai.

Whatever team gets Singletary in the second will get a keeper.

Mbah a Moute and Shipp won't come out this year if they are smart.

DJ White is a 1st rounder.

if courtney lee falls into the 2nd, him, and sean singletary...if i had a top 20 pick in need of a pg, i'd pass on augustin and collison in favor of singletary in the 2nd...

If White does slip like Glen Davis did last year he`ll be a steal. Although I doubt he`ll declare this year Rodrigue Beaubois from France is an intresting guy thats projected in the second round this year. He got the potential and athletic ability he just needs some work.
