Fazekas (6-11, 235) was selected by Dallas with the 34th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. He saw action in four games with the Mavericks this season averaging 1.0 point in 2.3 minutes. He spent 28 games (24 starts) with the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA D-League and averaged 19.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 30.5 minutes per game. He was selected as a D-League All-Star but did not play in the game. [READ]"

Forgive me if I don't get excited about Fazekas. Lou Amundson also put up big numbers in the D-League and we see how that has carried over.
Well, Fazekas did also average 20/10 in college 2 straight years, which I don't recall amundson doing.
I don't think Fazekas is anything to get overly excited about. His lack of strength and athleticism really limit him. I wouldn't be opposed to adding him in place of Amundson, but I wouldn't exactly demand he be signed, either

I agree that all D-League play needs to be viewed with a "grain of salt", but Fazekas' ability to shoot well (especially beyond the arc) and score could be useful for this team.

Fazekas is a much different player than Amundsen and Randolph. He is probably a cross between one of those guys and Smith since he can shoot.

He is nothing like Smith. Fazekas is a non-athletic big who can shoot from the perimeter and score junk around the rim. He can't guard his own shadow, can't beat anyone off the bounce, nor can he get up and down the floor effectively in a game played with a 24-second clock.
I'd rather see the Sixers pick up Justin Williams, a guy who plays and runs a lot like Theo Ratliff did.
