You can ignore me if you want...
I apologize if my relentless optimism and faith in our roster is ruining the pessimist's dream of a 50 win season that couldnt possibly be any better
But if you do decide what I am saying is believable, feel free to join the rest of us optimists
fabricate how you want to see everything, but its completely off base. Unless you've forgotten everything everyone has said.
Has anyone said a 50 win season is the best possible? That we dont have faith in our roster?
NO.
You just have a baseless critcism of Nellie/Mullin that makes no sense.
There's plenty to criticise Nellie/Mullin for, why not stick with things that are logical and make sense, rather than credit their achievements as "incidental" and their mistakes as fully responsible. You hold them (Nellie specifically) to a double standard where he can never do anything right, that you credit him for.
Personally, your posts are a waste of time. They are illogical, irrational, and baseless; and you always revert to speaking down to everyone, a sign of lack of substance and frankly, intelligence.

Look at you taking it personally... dont be that guy.
There is no way in hell the Cats would agree to do it the W's way... the W's are going to turn down dealing JRich for a lottery pick and 10 mil in free money?Where's the intelligence in that?
It would have been lunacy pre-draft to expect Brandan Wright to fall to #8... this guy was the consensus #3 going into the draft, but due to team needs and horrible drafting, he falls to #8.
There's no one else in the top 10 (outside of Durant/Oden) I could see Nellie wanting for this season... he sure wasn't thinking about the future. I'm willing to bet the agreement was that we take Yi, if not, Mully gets to decide who to take...
Isn't it weird that we traded right in front of the other big time market that Yi wanted to play for![]()
Coincidences make my head spin
The GM is the same guy who drafted Kwame Brown as the #1 overall pick.

Wow trueth... nice meltdown
Relax.
Nothing I've said is baseless... in fact I prove my point 99% of the time, the only response I get is from the same "oh yeah? Well what about 60%" clods... the same people who didn't learn anything in history class I guess..
I labeled one thing as incidental... the trade was supposed to be JRich for Yi... if CHA got Yi and had a 10m EC thats what we would have recieved in return.
I credit Nellie all the time for being a good construction worker... he's found a gimmicky niche that's kept him in the NBA for a long time.. good for him. That's all credit... is he going to win an NBA title? No chance...
This all works best with examples... the homer patrol is notorious for just stating a general public opinion as fact with nothing to back it up... I think you are completely back asswards here trueth. Get it together...

Chris Mullin drafted Kwame?

Take a walk and then re-read that... that's referring to our FO...
But considering CHA had to get over a min cap #, needed a go-to scorer and a face to the franchise, you can sure list all those as reasons for them to do it... the W's reasons were 1) Yi, 2) capspace

thank you!
Common sense wasn't good enough?
Your asking for proof... basically saying that Nellie's word isn't viable (that he wanted Yi) so what kind of proof do you want me to produce? Stock footage of Nellie looking directly into the camera "Were doing this trade to get Yi Jianlian"?

Enough common sense proof is there:
- we traded in front of the team most likely to grab Yi
- the trade was consummated pre-draft
- the player that Nellie selected was termed a long term project for a coach who's in likely his last 1 or 2 seasons
- Wright gets absolutely no playing time and watches people like Pietrus, Watson and Azuibuke see the floor before him

Chris Mullin drafted Kwame?![]()
I believe the truth was speaking of Higgins, who is currently CHA GM and was the Wizards GM when Kwame was picked #1.
This is a very interesting thread. Love it.
Waiting to see if you can prove your point on this one. Can't go back to your TIVO now

Let's see what insider info you have now.

And I believe he was attributing something to the wrong person... lack of reading comprehension because he's angry...
My point's been proven... there hasn't been a legit counterpoint to any of them. All it's been is trueth angry that I'm talking truth and a horde of homers clinging to their blind belief in a front office thats taking them nowhere... and personal attacks on me of course, but thats standard now..
I'm getting a whole crew of admirers bitter that I'm speaking the truth to them... I don't get it

Damn . . . that would have been sweet. I guarantee that Yi and a $10MM expiring would have gotten us Gasol without giving up Dre or Monta.
I'd live without Brandan's enticing upside for that
Baron/Monta/scrub
Monta/Jack/scrub
Jack/Al/Barnes/Idiot-boy
Gasol/Al/Barnes
Dre/Gasol/Al
You wouldn't start printing the championship t-shirts yet, but that's a credible contender with a 3 or 4 year window if you go into lux tax and resign everyone.

Ok, I see what you meant.
But i dont think the deal goes down like this:
CHA: "you gotta take whoevers available at #8, even if its not the guy you wanted. agree to it now, or we don't do the deal at all."
GS: "we really want yi, but we'll be happy with whoever's there. ok done"

Now this is weak. You usually have better answer than this. You seem to act like you know everything the warriors want to do. This is just your opinion and you bash everyone else for thinking otherwise.

You don't? What's CHA's motivation for doing the deal then? What if the Bulls or some other team over-offers for the pick? CHA can back out and do that deal, and then the W's are in the lurch. The reason the W's make the trade beforehand is that if CHA gets the pick, and drafts Yi, all the teams that wanted Yi now have a shot to give CHA something better than what we are.
Then add in that Higgins left us a month previous to this happening... this move had been long since talked about.

actually that might of been it....I think Mully liked all 4 of the PF prospects taken top9...He mentioned he did..I'm pretty sure Nellie had zero interest in Noah or Brandan...thetrueth wrote:-= original quote snipped =-

Personal attacks. C'mon now. This is a forum where we all voice our opinions. You have yours, and I have mine. I have no reason to attack you. We just disagree on a lot of stuff, but that's all.
