Nah it is real. I guess we will need to see who doesn't play tonight. Either way it seems like a deal is getting done tonight.

If this is right we have one of the lowest cap numbers in the league why would money stop us even if we do it we only go up 10 mil next season which still doesnt even put us it the top half of the league salary wise. If we are trying to content you prove that with a check book not with talk IMO.

A philosophy that has worked wonders for the Knicks! Do you think this is baseball or something?

Im glad Sac is playing tonight bec Miller and Cisco not playing is more significant than Garriy, Arroyo, Dooling or Bogans not playing.

Kings have offered Kenny Thomas and Garcia for Arroyo, Garrity, and Bogans (haven't heard anything on any picks involved either way)

Kings have offered Brad Miller and Garcia for Arroyo, Garrity, Redick, and Bogans, and the Kings would then cut Anthony Johnson and Lorenzen Wright. And again, haven't heard any details on any draft picks in this either, though I'm almost positive there will be some involved)

Petrie isn't keen on parting with Garcia in a Miller deal, and prefers to send Douby...and has countered with that but the Garcia/Miller deal is what the Magic prefer out of all the situations and as far as I know, that is the deal getting the most play.

from the SAC board who claim to have different sources
Last I heard...

Kings have put a 8 AM PST deadline on the Miller deal (as they're talking with other teams, none near as serious as the Magic though) and no deadline on the Kenny Thomas version for obvious reasons. lol

Seattle is trying to get Orlando to take on Damien Wilkins in the Kurt Thomas deal as well.

I'm not positive on the Seattle situation, but, the Kings have placed an offer out there for the Magic involving Brad, and if not taken by the Magic, it's because they felt for whatever reason (financial, etc)...it wasn't in their best interest. The deal is 120% on the table though.

This doesn't factor in Dwight's and Jameer's extensions. Plus we'll have several roster spots to fill due to expringing contracts (KeDo, PatG, Arroyo, MoE and St. Aug.).

Getting Garcia and Miller would be amazing. I just hope Devos pays out for this to happen. It would move the team into contender status IMO. They were already knocking on the door. This would break down the gates.

Idunkonyou2 wrote:Update - Basically the luxury tax may kill this deal. If the Magic did this deal, they would have 10 players on the roster that = 68.2 million this summer. This is before Fran comes over from Spain which would add an additional 1.5 million and at least a 1st round draft pick. Not to mention they will have Dooling and Evans as FAs.

I can't believe money is standing in the way of this deal. Devos better approve it.

See....this post right here is one reason I am very skeptical about this even being legit. Dunk -- who has a reputation as an Otis hater and someone who likes to take pot shots at management and ownership -- tells us he has this "source'' about this deal. Then he says that the luxury tax is standing in the way. If it doesn't happen, he has another built-in reason to criticize management and ownership for something that might have had no chance at all of even happening because it was totally made up.
