I want to see if we have a chance at Francisco Elson? He is making $3M this year and he is free. Could he help us with his defensive presence off the bench. I am ready to add to the roster for this year's playoff run.
I think we should have a good shot at getting him for maybe just cash and keep the players on our roster.

i always thought fo-o-fo was a part of the organization or at least someone who knew someone in the organization. and i believe that somewhere in the hawks payroll is some low-level employee in the PR department that looks at sites like this in order to figure out what fans are thinking (how else would we get offers from the office of mr. levenson on realgm and hawksquawk?

The thing about Elson is that he would take either Zaza or Childress to acquire because of salary matching.
I've thought about the possibility of Elson, Udoka, and a 1st rounder for Childress. I think it is a fair deal, but risky.
The thing is that Elson while taller puts up similar number to Zaza per minute. I'm talking this season numbers which aren't exactly stellar. It is actually Elson best rebounding output. Udoka can provide a lot of what Childress does as a sixth man, but isn't quite on Chill's level. Where he really falls short is flexibility. Udoka's a wing and I don't really think he can step in as PG in some situations. Udoka's got a reasonable contract of 1M for next season. The 1st would obviously be a late round pick, but given the latest mocks looks like it could produce a good rotation player at either the wing, PF, or C positions that would be under a cheap rookie deal for several years.
It isn't a bad move for next season if they feel Childress is going to walk without getting anything back. The big risk is that dealing Childress might hurt on the playoff run this year. It could go either way. I think it would be a no brainer for San Antonio unless Childress's back is worse than originally thought.

Wow. You are very astute and pick up on the smallest of details.
For the record...the answer to your observations is, yes, I do work for the organization...and I have frequent access/ ties with all the usual suspects (players, coaches and BK) that we discuss on here. But no, my being on here is solely my own wish. I have been a part of the realgm fam since 2003, and since I work with the organization, I use this forum to voice my opinions of what I see first hand, live, and in the flesh. I also respect many of the views expressed on here...but I dont mix my business with my pleasure of being a realgm blogger.
