Who's better?

Who would you rather have as a core piece on your team?

Has Deng fallen that much? Conversely, has Granger gotten that much better?

My choice is Deng, both on offense and defense. He's a more versatile scorer and better defender.

Nope, he's just been injured. He's pretty much the same guy compared to last year.

+1

The thing is that Deng has been injured all year long and when he was playing, he was playing through pain and then it got worse so now he is sitting out. This is why his stats don't show you that much but once he is healthy, he is (without a doubt) a better player than Granger.

Do people realize that Granger is already 25 years old?

Granger will never ever be an all-star. He's a good role player, that's it.

Deng can be a perennial all-star for years to come.

wow are you kidding?

he is averaging

PPG
17.8
RPG
5.80
APG
1.9

at age 25, but according to you never be an allstar? wow big difference between saying granger will never be an allstar and that deng is better...it's perfectly fine if you think deng is better everyone is entitled to their opinion but don't insult granger by saying a 25 year old with those stats is only a role player for the rest of his career...

At 25, Granger has no ceiling left. He's maxed out on his potential. Deng is only 22. He's 5 years from his prime and Granger is 2 years.

Those stats don't jump at me at all. He's grabbing all of that in one of the worst teams in the NBA. Watch him play. He has 3rd option written all over his face.

Don't fool yourself. Granger is a good role player he'll never come close to being an all-star.

I'll take Black Rain. He's having a down season, but he's the better player.

Deng is never going to be a perennial all-star either. Neither player is likely to make more than a few all-star games.

Deng is having a down year/has been hurt and he is still better than Granger at this point.

Its Deng. Check out the stats, PER everything.

I can guarantee you that Granger will never make an All-Star game in his career.

Danny is a better offensive player, quite easily. They are close to even defensively, I'll give the nod to Deng, Danny is actually a little bit overrated defensively. His lateral quickness isn't as good as most elite perimiter defenders.

For those of you who think that Danny has reached his ceiling, you are going to be in for a huge surprise these next couple seasons. He is more then capable of being a 23/7 player. He has had a very tough first couple seasons and has been in so many different roles. He is a totally different (for the worse) player when he plays with Jermaine. I don't know if its a mental thing with him or if he's just asked to play a totally different role when Jermaine's out there. One of the things he had to really work on was driving to the basket, he had no real first step move, he has developed one and I have no doubt in my mind that he will be an allstar within the next 3 seasons.

Deng, easily. He's injured and his numbers are down from last year yet he's still averaging more ppg, rpg, apg, better FG%, in less mpg, along with less turnovers and about half the fouls per game. Granger is the better help defender while Deng is better at man defense.

Not close in my mind.
