Actually he just confirmed it was true and talks were in the works. He gave an opinion as to why it won't happen with no quotes what so ever. It would have been the same as any one of us saying it won't happen for this reason and that reason.

Hey, i'm on your side here. I believed you and Eze from the very beginning, and I still don't think it's 100% dead.

Ok, I've been reading this stuff for the last couple of hours and I really have to say I'm disappointed with the ownership if this deal isn't going down because of financial issues.
So, let me just recap my opinions until now:
1- I thought (and still do) that Rashard was a good signing for this team.
2 -I, obviously and as anyone on this board, understand that Rashard is overpayed, yet I never bothered much about it because it was a clear sign that the organization was willing to spend a lot in order to build a contender team.
So, does this "we won't touch Miller's 11-12 millions contract because of the money" mean that had we signed Rashard for 12-13 millions a year we could have now spend some extra bucks? Does this mean that all this team has to fix it's roster holes is indeed some very minor trades, the MLE and the draft? Does this Otis comments mean that since we have enough expirings to get a player like Miller and a wing guy like Garcia and we won't touch Miller's contract we won't use our expirings total value in order to improve the roster?
Ok, if this is true I'll be the first to admit that Otis and the management are not worthy of the trust of us fans. I guess we'll know it all by Thursday. I might be overreacting, but I surely was expecting things to go the other way.

btw, I've been on the same page as craig for quite some time. I don't wanna judge Otis too soon, but the clock is ticking, and IMO it's really ticking louder and louder. We have a good team, not a great nor contender team. We knew this was a "building" year, I wasn't expecting us to contend this year, but passing on a deal like this because we can't afford going into the luxury tax a few months after signing Rashard for 118 millions makes absolutely no sense for me.

If Otis does the deal with Seattle then that would contradict everything he said about Miller's contract. Personally I think Denton put a little of his own thoughts in there and pawned it off as Otis, otherwise it would have been quotes. Otis could also just be throwing the media a bone to shut them up.
I also agree with what you said. This is THE change to really improve the team and if they don't because of finance issues then that is a slap in the face to us fans.
