To be honest, I am not a Kobe fan and I do not like the Lakers.
But it seems that the Cavz and LBJ have became the new Kobe and Lakers...
makes me sick
Kobe should have learned from LeBron

Kobe should probably do what is best for him and his team...get the surgery!
Yeah, he'll be out for up to six weeks, but if The Lakers can stay within reasonable distance, then they will goto the playoffs with a HEALTHY Kobe!!!
If he doesn't get the surgery, or prolongs his decision, then BEST SCENARIO: Kobe's injury doesn't get any worse...nobody hits it, he doesn't fall on it,etc and the Lakers make the playoffs with an UNDER 100% Kobe...and "Maybe" make it to the second round.
Worst Case: He plays through it, hits it, and makes it worse, possibly threatening his career. Lakers OBVIOUSLY don't go anywhere.
Main point here is that if Kobe gets surgery NOW, he can do things right, HELP his team from the side-line...INSPIRE them, then be a HUGE boost come playoff time!
But EVEN if the Lakers were to miss the playoffs...So what? They do what is best for their team AND Kobe!
Would you rather him take a chance on making it worse...for a CHANCE to make the playoffs THIS YEAR [ OR ] Have him get surgery and KNOW that he will be 100% and able to lead your team to the playoffs (and possibly the finals) for the remainder of his playing days???
If this happened to LeBron, I'd DEFINITELY want him to go get surgery!!! NO SEASON is worth a career!

What if it rips off ??? That could affect his sweet turnaround J from the post...Kobe D wrote:You got to understand that it's already as bad as it's going to get. Playing on this injury will not affect his career. There is nothing worse than can happen except for the pain. It's already completely torn.

Kobe is a tough guy, as is LeBron, so this entire topic is quite idiotic. There was NO WAY Kobe sits unless he physically was unable to walk (think of it like MJ) and the LBJ injury was like a sprain that could break, Kobe on the other hand was mis-diagnosed and cannot get worse now. And the finger is not going to rip off. He even is playing through this for the Olympic team.
