this game just highlighted all our fundamental flaws. Our big men are simply terrible against a real physical frontcourt.
Ft shooting was laughable, as was our ability to make layups. Besides miller and thad (save a few defensive series) we looked like a d-league team.
everyone has bad games but iguodala has the most horrific bodycontrol and touch around the rim. I don't believe it's the mental game that holds him back anymore, he just can't finish. I still think he is a very good player but that was brick fest.
W. green. dribble left, 20ft jumper, rebound wolves (wash rinse repeat)

They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Andre Miller is the player getting double teamed on the Sixers not Andre Iguodala. Everytime Andre went in the post the Wolves sent help. Everytime Miller even went near the baseline another defender came to trap. Iguodala is very inconsistent in half court offense and opposing teams do not pay him any special attention, however the book on Iguodala is out...

i had a headache going into this game and it sure didn't help. Is there any precedent for a player vastly improving his touch around the rim? honestly, as a player i love the guy but this is really a problem. I'm probably alone here but I honestly believe that iguodala would be an all star if he was an above average-great finisher outside of the dunk. his mental weakness doesn't even seem present anymore (besides maybe ft's but thats a team party).
I think it's the fact that he's so INCREDIBLY close and you can see the one blinding flaw but your pretty sure it's unfixable.
Sigh, such is the plyt of the philadelphia sports fan.

OH jOY ANOTHER IGGY BASHING FEST JUST WHAT WE NEED!
You haters weren't here when we were winning. Why come out the woodwork when he has a bad game? ( IMO it was just average but yeah) Gawd, Iggy wasn't the only problem tonight. I'm bailing out of this thread. (no recap tonight I was dozin in and out of the game, DAMN you java programming!).
PS. Not you sixersftw and others just the guys acting like Iggy is the W.O.A.T.

Not that I can tell. I agree with you though. Iguodala's body control and touch are what holds him back more than any single part of his game. He's still a very good player, but it's what I see preventing him from ever being a true #1 option.

The Sixers also had real blahs. Center Samuel Dalembert missed the morning shoot-around with a stomach virus. Willie Green missed Monday's practice with the same thing.
THANK GOD! Watching last night's game, I kept asking myself if I had seen Sam or WG play this horrible in recent memory. Both were total duds out there. I've come to expect this type of performance from WG, who always seems streaky, but Sam had really strung together a decent season this year. Anyway, it's good to know that they actually had an excuse last night...

Dalembert has annoyed me lately. He does not contribute offensively anymore and his rebounding is atrocious. Louis Williams cooled off pretty badly too. He does not get easily to the rim anymore and his shot is also off. At least we should re-sign him for cheaper money if he continues that bad stretch.
Actually, I somehow anticipated a loss. The Wolves are not a bad team as their record might suppose. I am just really disappointed that we did not play with a sense of urgency, except for Kevin Ollie, and that is the least what I am expecting of the team. If they lose against the Knicks today, the win streak was definitely "fools gold".
