That's cool, I like CV's game even though his defense stinks. The Tim Thomas comparisons are totally unfair, any player who's had a 48-point game and a 16-rebound game in about 2 full seasons worth of games is a lot more motivated than Tim Thomas.
If they actually think this will make the team play better overall they're nuts. They would have to compensate for adding another scorer to the starting line-up by sending Mo or Redd to the bench in favor of Ivey or Bell if they actually think this is going to make them play better. But you know how much they love chuckers, so don't hold your breath on that.

Thomas had his share of big games as well. He also proved his worth by playing well in the playoffs. I do agree the Villanueva-Thomas comparisons are unfair, however.
To Tim Thomas.
Nothing will not break me.

With my vote, it's down to +5.
Not that I'm convinced that CV is adequately motivated, just that I'm not going to make actionable judgments on the sanity of any of our inmates as long as our asylum is in sprawling chaos.
IMO we have a franchise that gets the least out of its players - that degrades all of the talent at its disposal.
Change the management. Put the players in a positive atmosphere for playing hoops. Evaluate them in that radically different situation. Then make trades.
Trades made now will placate your immediate hunger but likely lead to further dilution of this team's talent.
It's terrible now. But the cure is gradual and hasn't even begun.
