What is going on with Nazr Mohammed?

Post#1 » by Serge28 » Wed Feb 20, 2008 6:39 am

Just recently Sam Vincent announced that the month-long experiment with Felton at SG and McInnis at PG was over and promised to start Nazr at center for the rest of the season. Now, he's benched him for the past 2 games, including tonight! What's the deal here?

Team loses with Mohammed at center just as much as with McInnis at PG.

And we proceeded to lose every game with Felton at PG and McInnis on the bench.

and promised to start Nazr at center for the rest of the season.

I don't remember him saying this, but I think it was pretty obvious that once Wallace came back, Mohammed would move back to the bench. Vincent apparently doesn't like playing both him and Okafor together, since it forces one of them away from the basket so they can guard quicker PFs.

Our point guard has no idea how to get the ball to anyone in the right spot.....he's a polar opposite of Chris Paul and Deron williams.

Nazr Mohammed to remain a starter...

Update: Mohammed was in the starting lineup for the second straight game on Monday, and coach Sam Vincent says he will stay there alongside Emeka Okafor for the remainder of the season, the Charlotte Observer reports.

That's the only random thing Vincent did that actually make sense. He had to do something reasonable sooner or later accidentally.
