I have no idea. I'm 10 years from retirement (in the military). I'll be 42 and making 50K a year, with full med benefits the rest of my life for just getting out of bed every morning and breathing.

Coaching underprivileged youth for a church or inner city program, revisiting Europe, maybe even japan and other surrounding areas. I'm probably going to buy a little place in Jamaica and spend some time there....the internet? is that going to be around in 40 years?

When it is the deadline? Midnight western time tomorrow?

According to this

With the NBA trade deadline looming tomorrow at 3 p.m., teams will be hard-pressed to top what already has been accomplished in one of the most exciting big-name deal-making frenzies in memory.

But the deadline is as "hard" as the cap is.

chad fraud chimes in

Jason (Washington, DC): Lots of talk of Kurt Thomas going to Orlando. Any update on that?

SportsNation Chad Ford: (1:15 PM ET ) I was hearing strongly this morning that the Magic where in the lead to acquire Thomas' services. He'd be a good fit in Orlando and they have the expiring contracts to make it happen. But is a guy in the last year of his deal worth a first round pick as well? That's a steep price. I think there are other deals Orlando could get that would give them a younger, more productive four. They might have to trade Turkoglu (who admittedly has been great this year) ... but if they could shore up their front line and move Rashard Lewis back to his natural position, they should do it.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Celo, San Francisco: What about Artest to the Magic? The need a defensive stopper.

SportsNation Chad Ford: (1:23 PM ET ) That will never happen. There are only a small handful of teams that would be willing to do Artest: Denver, New York and possibly San Antonio because they have such a rock solid veteran presence. Lakers would probably take him too. I hear Phoenix also has a little bit of interest, though I can't believe they'd risk adding even more wildcards to their chemistry.

so that probably squashes that Sac deal talk right? 4 hours after the supposed "deadline"? 4 hours is a lot of time to pass without word getting out in this league...

I say that's right. IMHO best case scenario we get K. Thomas in here. Otherwise it does not look like we will make a move.

to be honest, Id rather do a small deal and keep most our guys. I mean there is a good reason why we are 3rd seed right now. Our expierings have been a major reason for our success. I still say Lets get Johan Petro for a 2nd rounder and get it over with. Suspence is killing me.
