Will Jermaine O'Neal be back this season? (just dropped)

Post#1 » by Serge28 » Mon Feb 18, 2008 4:38 am

He was just dropped in my standard Yahoo! 12 team/9 cat league. I have #4 waiver wire priority, so I'm pretty much guaranteed to get him. But will he be back? Anyone with any info please respond!

I don't think he'll be back, if he is traded he probably will but I think if he stays in Indiana I am pretty sure he'll sit the rest of the year out. Save that waiver priority IMO.

I wasted mine on Damien Wilkins! :banghead:

I had the same question but in a 10 team H2H league.

He already cleared waivers, but I am curious if he holds more value than Haslem (Who I would drop for him)...

[bump]

I'm in a similar position, I just picked up JO off of waivers just before the all-star break. I keeps hearing rumors that he might be coming back. And if they want to trade him, shouldn't he play so as to show he's healthy? I can afford to sit on him for a while, if he comes back my team is going to be stacked!

Should I keep him?

If he's cleared waivers, I would definitely take the flyer on him and stash him on my bench. At the same time, I wouldn't pass up other waiver wire wonders like Warrick for him... Since you have Darko it looks like you can still make moves with the FA pool, so keep JO for now.

Yes, thanks for the words. I was hoping Darko was going to start putting up some #'s with the trade of Gasol. In hindsight I should have prbly picked up Warrick instead!

For now I'm just gonna sit on my squad. If JO comes back I'll trade Darko (or waive him) and pick up someone who drops dimes. Assists at this point are my only (sort of) vulnerable category...

(btw, it's a head-to-head yahoo league that I'm playing in)
