:banghead: Of all the completed and possible trades this one could be a problem.

I agree... They would definitely be scary

Parker/Stoudemire
Ginobili/Finley
Artest/Bowen
Duncan/Horry
Oberto

and they will probably have Splitter come over next year...

The spurs have been too quiet for my liking. Also just having a REAL opportunity to win a ring would definatly keep ron in check for atleast the rest of the season.

Also aside from a few boards here on real GM, I dont see much about this trade which leads me to believe that it is one that will happen. The "quiet before the storm" type of deal. :banghead:

the spurs probably wouldn't have to give too much either.

i defenetly think they're gonna do something like this, but my money's on mike miller.

but dealing with the spurs + artest is not something i'm hoping for...

hopefully though, if elson goes, that team will be very thin inside - especially regarding size, and a team like ours (at full strength) may be able to take advantage of that.

i'm just praying artest stays put or goes to the east.

if he is traded here, i'd rather see him going to the denver mess than to the nba champs.

scary scary thought.

Who are the spurs going to give away? Only way i can see this happening is if spurs are willing to give away their shooters who are expiring + picks for artest and KT.

that would be scary...

the Maloofs willing to help the spurs win and screw the lakers.... I dunno if Artest would stay beyond this year tho, who knows.

Artest to San Antonio would basically be like Moss to New England. Artest is gonna get his act together and be in a winning situation.

This would put the Spurs back to the top and be our rivals once again...

Not sure if this matters in the slightest, but I live in San Antonio and I haven't heard word one about this, not even rumors.

Not saying they wouldn't do it, especially in light of how stacked the West looks, but Artest would be the complete antithesis of what the Spurs typically look for in a player.

Besides, Udoka, who has gradually been stealing more minutes from Bowen at the 3, has been playing relatively well lately.

I just don't see this happening.

Then again, I never would have imagined we could get Pau Gasol for Kwame and filler, or that Phoenix would trade Marion for Shaq, so...

This is the reason I mostly think it is possible. You never hear about most trades until they happen. Hopefully this does not go down and nobody else is moved before thursday 3pm.

i think artest going to the spurs would be a very good fit for him. i hope it doesn't happen but i think he'd fall in line there.

Well lets just say this is a rumor , period .

This is just a rumor somebody started on there own , trust me on this one .
As far as I know and I do have a comformation that this is only a rumor and the Spurs arent even involved in any talks with the Kings about Artest or anyone else on the Kings .

There are other teams that are looking to obtain Artest but the Spurs arent one of them .

In my experience (I'm in the area too, about 70 miles from SA) Spurs don't typically take chances on headcases, which Artest most certainly is. the only reason I see it happening is if they know they're old, they know their window is closing and they want 1 more solid run. It's a change that, if it works out (big if), keeps up with LA, Utah and NO for the next few years.

I'm always of the mindset that, Spurs will put it together when it matters, but that team seems different this year. They may need help getting out of the West, I just don't see it happening if nothing changes.

And gu ess what will happen? My team will beat them in the end.

GO GIANTS!!!

GO LAKERS!!

lol real talk. They called Moss a headcase and when he was put in a winning situation, his whole mentality changed and he became a winner unlike his Vikings days. You saw what happens when Artest is put into a winning situation, he bares down and just plays his game and does what he has to do. He knows he will be contributing to something that will result to a win almost every night.
