Most emo players
Okay, so it seems like every interview I read with Tracy McGrady, he is talking about how he sucks and how he's lost a step. He says he isn't as good as he used to be and maybe he should just go play baseball...He cries at press conferences and during games. I am a Houston fan and I do like him, but...come on.
Another candidate from the NBA is Andrei Kirilenko. Now, I don't follow the Jazz, so I don't know that much about him. But I have heard about how shakey he gets after having a bad game. What was that story about him sobbing on the bench about how he couldn't guard Paul Pierce?
And of course, probably the most emo player ever in any league, Zack Greinke of the Kansas City Royals. He's a no-name pitcher on a no-name team, but since I live near KC I know about him. Whoa, dude. You could take any of the words in one of his press conferences or interviews and use them as emo song lyrics. I guess I feel bad for him, but he is so emo it's almost comical.

We have met the enemy, and he is us.

That was a joke from a Boston fan. Kirilenko wasn't even playing this season when we played Boston.
He did cry last postseason which was embarrassing.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Kirilenko did not cry after Pierce torched him this season. I believe it was two years ago, and it did happen.

Everyone whines, its the nba. I don't get why you say Kirilenko though... I think the only thing he ever does to refs is laugh at them -- he's not a whiner.
If you want to listen to whiners, listen to the next Nuggets broadcast... their broadcast team is a joke.

Well Kirilenko may have cried during the post season this year, and it was made very public, but it was the best thing that could of happened as a Jazz fan. Kirilenko hit rock bottom, and while he obviously knew he had a wreck of a season, he stopped making excuses from then on, and begun to be the high energy player he was when he first entered. So he's emotional, good, I'm glad he actually cares about his level of play over his image of 'manliness'.

says the kobe fan. its not about complaining to refs, its their emotional state.
ron artest is emo in a crazy kind of way. KG is emo to the max.
the whole golden state team gives me heart ache when i root for them to beat a rival. i don't know how their true fans can take it. they must be strong or on medication during their games. no lead is safe for them.

Excellent point, I much rather have a player who is emotional and CAN manage to work trough his troubles than a happy-go-lucky guy who doesn't give a damn about his performance as long as someone is cutting his check.
Kirilenko is not back to his All-Star form, but he has been more than decent for the Jazz this year, props to him for recovering from his meltdown.
