Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he's from that big nasty city known as Atlanta that is mostly known for it's crime and criminals. You ever look at the run down hoods around Atlanta? Disgusting.

Come on, you can do better than that. Tell us what you REALLY mean when you use code words like "hoodrat" "criminals" and "run down hoods". If you're going to be a bigot, at least have the balls to use the words you really want to use, rather than speaking in thinly veiled code...

If you can be stereotypical why can't I? You see to think it's ok. Oh, I forgot, it's ok to be stereotypical to people that don't live in Atlanta. For some reason that is seen as ok.

And that is why no one wants to go to Dallas, Georgia.

It's just funny how peoples minds work. How it's ok to be stereotypical against some people and not against others. LL probably watches alot of Jerry Springer.

You've already exposed your racism, trying to deflect attention somewhere else isn't fooling anyone. You probably ought to just leave it alone before you dig yourself a deeper hole.

Well for one, I think he was classifying you based on your comments, bout' the "big nasty, sinful, city", whereas you just made a seemingly racial comment based on...?

Further, the word "redneck" has been reappropriated by cultural icons like Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, and Ron White.

Anyway, in the spirit of Dr. King I'm gonna end my part in this illuminating discussion by saying that the Hawks and Bibby will soon be a beatiful mosaic of basketball just as the people of Dallas and Atlanta should be a beautiful mosaic of the type of culture you can find in GA. Does that analogy work?

Just because you don't have enough common sense to understand what I was getting at doesn't mean I'm a racist. For all I know you're a white person. Probably are. Do you believe it's ok to stereotype against some people and not others?

So, everybody that doesn't like or live in the city is a redneck? There are lots of people out here that have moved from the cities to get away from the traffic, pollution, and crime in the cities. I guess they're rednecks to. huh?

Second, Larry the Cable Guy doesn't have the right to do anything because he is not even a redneck. It's a show that he sells to people to make alot of money.

There is your Larry the Cable Guy:

No, but assuming that anyone living in a city is a hood rat from the ghetto doesn't help your case.

The fact that someone isn't a "redneck" by your lofty standards doesn't mean that they can't have an effect on the cultural significance of the term. Like I said, it was reappropriated and is now used with a degree of pride. Pride which you obviously have by your hateful exclusion of Larry.

Are you really that dingy? He assumes that I'm a redneck because I live way outside of Atlanta, so I was giving him a dose of his own medicine. Where did I say I hate Larry the Cable guy? Are you brain dead? I said he makes money off of an act. Honestly, I don't give a damn what he is or is not. He could kick the bucket tomorrow and I wouldn't care. I was simply tell you.

If you want to know the truth, it's not a ton different in Dallas or Douglasville than it is Atlanta. i was simply giving the guy a dose of his own medicine. If I hate somebody, I will flat out tell you. I'm not going to hide my opinion or thoughts from some wankers on a message board.

I didn't say you hated Larry, I said it was hateful the way you excluded him from "redneck". If he wants to define himself that way, its not your place to exclude him, regardless of your pedigree.

Off to the bar to watch some NBA!

He was doing radio if I'm not mistaken and he was doing the gig on air and it caught on, so he started doing it. It's a money maker. Can't say I blame him for making the money.

To clarify, I called you a redneck because of the bigoted, ignorant things you typically say - not because of where you live. It's true that I have a stereotype of bigoted ignorant folks as "Rednecks."

As to where you live, I just think it's funny that there's a Dallas in Georgia.

There's nothing more I can say about you that you haven't already (unintentionally?) exposed about yourself. So beyond that, I guess I'm done with you...

Honestly, it doesn't really matter what you say because you're a complete moron. How does it feel to be a village idiot with downs syndrome? Because that is exactly what you are.... A piece of trash with downs syndrome. Do yourself a favor and hang yourself and die. The world will not miss you.

Everything I say about the Hawks they deserve. There is NOT a worst franchise in sports than the Atlanta Hawks. Sorry if you don't like it, but it's true. You know that you have no defense for this lousy franchise. No defense at all. You can't defend a team that has failed to make the playoffs 10 years in a row, has a fan base of about 100 fans, poor ownership, crappy players and a laughable history. The Hawks have accomplished NOTHING of importance since moving to Atlanta.

Like it or not you silly little wanker. It is what it is.

AMEN!
Some of you guys are WAY too quick to judge here. I think Bibby will do wonders for you guys. He's still on been back from injury for about 10-12 game now, factor that rust in along with a change of scenary and it'll be a few weeks before you see Mike Bibby at 100%. He's a great floor general, IMO the best shooting PG in the league and he's VERY underrated on these boards. His defense is blown out of proportion here, he's no all-defensive guy, but he gambles in the passing lanes and having a couple shot blockers behind him IMO will make him an even more effective player overall.

You'll love Bibby, I guarantee it.
