He is now part of the enemy.

Saw the trade on ESPN. No link yet.

Hopefully he's just gonna go there to sabotage them hahaha.

But seriously, that hurts me. I don't wanna see a guy I like playing for the enemy. And he was my favorite Sonic :lol:

ah, big deal. Amare will own him. Bad news for the other Western Conference teams. Highly doubt that SA will get Artest now.

Apparently the deal is for Elson, Barry, and a pick. The package that was "supposed" to land them Artest. Saw the article on the Spurs board.

It's ok. We dumped his $8 million contract along with 2 1st round draft picks that we don't need winning a championship.

I guess it's great that we won't see Barry's random bull 28-foot threes against the Suns in the playoffs anymore.....

Good point. Barry always killed us. KT seems like a Spur when you think about it. Tough, defensive minded, ugly game. Yeah, he's a Spur.

I'm sure Kurt had no voice in this trade.

This sucks - I don't want to hate Kurt now :(

Looking at it from the Sonics' perspective, what a great pair of moves: first trading a trade exception for KT's expiring and two 1st round picks, now trading KT for two other expirings and another 1st round pick.

I will always like kurt. He is prob. happy that he got out of a horrible orgnization to a contendar again at his age. I will not like if we face them. At least Barry wont kill us with those 3's.

It sucks that we had to GIVE UP picks to get rid of Kurt, given that right now there was considerable interest in him; so much so that the Spurs gave up a pick to acquire him. We really must have reeked of desperation..

Oklahoma City is going to be happy with all of those picks :)

Yea, the deal just get dumber and dumber...

The Sonics are laughing all the way on this one. They got 3 1st round picks just for being willing to take on KT's contract for HALF a season...and the Spurs won too, not only they get KT - a much needed defender in the post against Shaq/Amare and Gasol/Bynum, they're under the LT and still have Obverto as a 3rd string guy off the bench. They managed to get better and saved money in the process. Something our FO couldn't do over the past years.

We should pick up KT next season, then he can tell us how to guard Duncan.

We already know how to guard Duncan;

Let him get his, and focus on the other people.
