Barry would be an ideal addition maybe seattle will buy him out. He did play with ray allen and would be a perfect backup to rajon. Barry might fit the backup role better than sam.

That would be excellent, even if it's just Elson. I'd be happy to sign either one.

If he did get bought out, I think that Barry, unlike Stackhouse, would keep his mouth shut, and then go back to the Spurs after a month.

He's o.k., but he's had some calf injuries this season. If it becomes a nagging injury then he might become useless.

He wouldn't? I didn't know that. What's the rule on that?

It didn't seem that Stackhouse was thinking he'd be ineligible when he said he'd just take a month of vacation and then come back.

you hyave to be signed to a team by Mar. 1st. to be playoff eligible. if you get traded from team X you cant sign back with them for a month.

Oh, thanks.

Different player, but same issue; I don't get the whole Stackhouse intrigue of last week. He wouldn't have been eligible even if they resigned him after a month either then, yet he was talking like everything was hunky dory and that he'd be back after a month like nothing ever changed.

wrong. you just have to be waived by the other team before mar 1st. check out larry coon's page, question 54.

Danny tried to get Barry in free agency a few years back. Does he have anything left in the tank?

Ah, that makes a lot more sense then. So, if he does get waived, he'll most likely just return to the Spurs.

if you are willing to claim his remaining salary, and have the salary cap space, a IPE (injured player exception), or a TPE (traded player exception) big enough to take his entire salary, you can claim him off waivers. but i cant remember the last time a player was claimed off waivers.

elson and barry would be great additions for us. both or even one of them who would be bought should be brought here.

elson gives us an active 7 footer.

barry gives us a shooter, a big defender, and a big ballhandler. i hope ray allen would try to lobby for him since they played well together a few years back with barry playing pg and ray at sg.

The Celtics should definately go after Brent Barry if he is bought out. There is talk the Suns will go after him.

Barry is a great shooter, passer and can play the point in our O.
