I don't believe so, but that's pretty irrelevant considering where they'll probably end up anyways.

On a side note, I really don't think I would like a Diaw\Thomas swap. Or at least, I would be very fearful of doing it.

They are still the Hawks until they prove otherwise

to sdu thankyou for the info !.....

No, they aren't. They don't have enough expirings to offer to the Kings AND they no longer have a 1st to offer.

If you can move Crazy Ron and wind up with two picks between 13 and 18 (yours and ours) I think you should pull that deal.

Especially if you're trying to rebuild. You can get two nice pieces ala the Hawks did this year.

suns owner robert sarver has just been on the radio and said this

Sarver says a deal could be done tonight, but it won't be announced til tomorrow..they'll be working all night he just said

Defensive minded, wing player

were discussing it here

http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic. ... 3#15563273

the suns have wanted a defensive wing since the marion trade and have been talking about gelabele, linton johnson etc, but in light of the rumour started by dbdynasty and his known sources, this could well be artest?

Why not? Diaw would be the ideal SF to place next to Martin, IMO.

Sarver is saying that they are trying to get a trade done for a defensive minded wing player (Artest), and will work through the night to get it done. If it gets done it will be announced tomorrow. If they cant get a deal done they will sign Linton Johnson.

Because if he doesn't work out (and it's not like we need him at SF with Salmons and Cisco), then we are stuck with his massive contract.

Interesting. I hope something happens. Maybe you guys could work out a deal for Lue also?

I'd rather have a shot of it working out with Diaw rather than knowing it won't work out with Kenny. I'd like a little more than just the Atlanta 1st in exchange for Artest.

no player can be included with the TE, so it has to be ATL pick and TE for artest straight up

and if the kings want more, it has to be a second deal ie barbosa for lue etc

i have seen nothing on any site that even indicats they have been talking i hope this is true though because i like this deal better than denvers i just want it announced and finalized today if its to happen !

petrie needs time to do other trades for miller and lue if he can get the right deals for them if they wait until tommorow he may not get the right type of deals in time before the deadline !

I would take this PHX deal and do an Orlando deal for expirings plus pick and run with it.
That gives us 3 picks for the draft, 2 could be pretty decent and would allow us to move up considerably.
It would be funny if the Suns deal goes down for the Atl 1st just after Petrie trades bibby to the hawks and they get flogged.
Petrie is just sending bibby there to dismantle the Hawks and give us a better pick. lol

I heard that the deal with artest to denver is done? And will be announced tonight.

But that depends on how credible the sixer4ever poster is?

Diaw is NOT a small foward. At most he can play there in limited minutes. He's an undersized PF that does some things effectively offensively. Skilled there. Nothing decent as a rebounder, inconsistent and limited defender. Average at best athlete. Would be more aggressive with us, though (like in his 1st year with the Suns, I'd guess). Because he'd have an increased role and not be playing with guys like Amare and Nash, Hill, and probably would differ too much to Shaq, too.

We just don't really need Diaw and his contract, anyway. Not much of a fit for him here,, either. Obviously not a long-term fit at PF.

I just don't see Phoenix as having enough pieces to deal with.

If the Nuggets are adding Kleiza to the deal (Which the Kings were supposedly holding out for him) There is a good chance that the Kings/Nuggets will deal tonight or early mourning IMO.... If not, Petrie wont budge...

Yeah, but until something emerges, that is still a question mark.
