Send Barry to Phoenix for a first. Then need a wing that can score.

Great move. Frees up minutes for our youn bigs and adds yet another pick. Funny on the Magic board that they are thinking that is good for them because maybe they can get Wilcox for just expirings and that he may not be worth a first as well. Anyone think that Wilcox will be moved as well?

I like the deal for the Sonics but I proposed a deal just like this one and was flamed by sonic fans on the trade board a week or so ago. Expirings and Orlando's first for Thomas. The Magic pick is even likely to be better than San Antonio's.

Brent LOVES Seattle. Loves the city. He will say great things about the pacific northwest every time he is interviewed. For this reason, I think Bennett will buy Barry out . . . fast.

Good. This is way better than Orlando's offer, mainly because I can't stand their interlopings on our board. I'd much rather watch my man Brent than Arroyo and whoever else they'd throw our way.

Any idea what happens with Elson? I actually like him a lot since his defense is really solid. Do we re-sign him?

very solid move by Presti. Didn't add salary, just another chip in the rebuilding process.

Meh, that is normal over there.

I'm excited about this trade! I loved Barry when he was here last, we get another 1st Round pick and Elson? Not sure on what they will do with him, the reason for moving Thomas was to free up minutes for Swift. Do they then move him on for someone else? Maybe the Magic would like him?

I;m not sure this makes any since, but to each there own. What is picking 4 spots later in the draft when you get to watch Brent Barry on the bench for 2 months as apposed to Carlos Arroyo?

Cammo

You've seriously underestimated the love affair between Brent Barry and the Sonics

I LOL'd at the start, looking at Barry's mid-90s Bobby Hurley Memorial "fade" haircut.

If he can spin these two for even more I would be ecstatic.
Maybe a trade that sent Barry and Watson to Cleveland and Varejao or Gooden to Orlando and expirings and more picks to Sonics. Don't know if this would work but I just thought this real quick.

Argyle's got it right. It's nothing personal, just that Bones is a bit of a cult hero around these parts; reminds us of better days.
