NICE!
I watched the second half they tried to choke it away but couldn't!

Kudos to Haith!

First Miami win over Duke since 1962

Haith's defensive strategy in this game was so on point. Just terrific ball. Zones, traps. Everything.

Collins was a beast...

I've never had any allegiance to UM basketball, but I've always despised the Duke Blue Devils.

Way to go, 'Canes.

Poor clock management and decision making almost coughed up this game for the Canes. My question is Poor Coaching? or just younng and inexperienced playes in a high pressure situation? or maybe a little of both?

They are young, inexperienced and in the process of learning how to close out games. They lost at least 2 ACC games this season by 1pt in the last seconds. It all about learning to close those games. Since the Florida State humiliation game, McClinton (DW1's buddy) has become the team's perimeter "go-to" player.

What I was most happy to see was Collins finally breakout and allow his talents to take over to dominate the game. This kid is VERY talented and has NBA-type skills at 6'9. I hope he keeps it up. Miami's struggles were also due to inconsistent play from the PG's. They are all Freshmen and still learning to run the team. Seems like they finally got their "Commanders" hat on.

Frank Haith has done a great job rebuilding this program to respectability from the Leonard Hamilton days. Perry Clark really set us back. Add to that a couple of top 100 recruits commited already coming in next year to add to this up and coming team and next season we cuold have a top 25 team in the country.

Great win for the Canes baby!!
