Nothing.

Certainly nothing major.

But if it was up to Van Gundy, he might trade the entire team today.

Well, clearly the THomas idea currently at #2 is out.

I vote the Magic will tweak the roster. But nothing of real interest.

What I'd like to see is Bogans shipped to free up some roster time for Redick. But that is very unlikely given that bad teams will be after Magic expirings. Bogans has another year, after all.

But, a Garrity and a future first for a Wilcox-type would be a fantastic get for GM Smith. Something like this is my dream for the day's events.

For all ya'll who think a whole variety of deals is just sitting there waiting for Otis and he just hasn't taken them...Ric Bucher of ESPN was on all morning on Mike and Mike in the Morning. He said that he has heard probably at least 150 trade rumors in the past five days (throughout the league), and there was a shadow of truth in only six or seven of them. That's how much bull that is out there.

But my trade proposal works in the checker and in NBA Live ...

Otis would be a complete and utter moron for not doing that deal!!!

Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Orlando and L.A. Clippers being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Orlando and L.A. Clippers had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I think thats right . If there is a trade with other players they have to wait (I think) 90 days.

Nothing too major here:

NJ Gets: J.J. Redick, Carlos Arroyo and a 2nd round pick
ORL Gets: Dasagna Diop and Trenton Hassell

(note: because of restrictions on Swift/Diop/Hassell, it would be three separate trades. Trade 1: Diop for Redick/2nd rounder. Trade 2: Hassell for Arroyo.)

Why for NJ: They further the rebuilding process and gain further financial flexibility by dumping the contract of Hassell. Redick has been a massive disappointment so far, but NJ is sorely lacking at the wings and maybe the change of scenery will help.

Why for ORL: Magic fans on this board have talked about how they need more defense and this deal gives them two good defenders. Diop gives them a young shot-blocker while Hassell provides good perimeter defense. They also do it without sacrificing any 1st rounders or major contributors.

if orlando won't do this, garrity can be subbed in for Arroyo i guess.

Well isn't Chad for just a peach?

Orlando Magic
They spent a fortune on Rashard Lewis this summer, and they're having a good season. But no one believes Orlando is a serious threat to Boston or Detroit.

That could change if the Magic could land a power forward. They have two similar players in Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu, plus roughly $13 million in expiring contracts and J.J. Redick also available if the right deal comes along.

Who would make sense for Orlando? Andrei Kirilenko for Turkoglu and expiring contracts might work for both the Magic and the Jazz.
